Clean tasting and guilt-free for those who are health conscious. This is supposedly the healthier version of CKT with vegetables, no Chinese sausage (lup cheong) and no pork/lard. It comes with the usual cockles, prawns and egg, topped with chye sim and crunchy fried whitebait. The vegetables were blanched and tasted rather bland on their own. A portion also seems to be smaller compared to any other stall. Add-on ingredients are also available for cockles, prawns, fried whitebait and vegetables for $0.50 - $1.50. Eggs are however not available as an add-on option 》$4.20 / Small

It’s more healthier than usual CKT, as if not too oily, comes with a lot of veggie, and prawns. The ckt have light wok hei.

Named after their stall's number, they serve a unique healthy rendition of this dish, with no pork (no lup cheong / dried cured pork sausage), no lard, and a generous topping of vegetables.
.
The kway teow / wide flat rice noodles and long cylindrical yellow wheat noodles is fried with vegetable oil, less dark soy sauce, crisp bean sprouts, wispy eggs, and thoroughly cooked chewy blood cockles, in a special secret broth that takes 10 hours to prepare.
.
The blanched crisp chye sim / Chinese flowering cabbage, and crunchy ikan bilis / anchovies is then added on top. Each bite carries a mild vegetal sweet savoury salty eggy flavour.
.
Being less greasy and oily, with a mild smoky aroma, this comes across as balanced and semi-wholesome.

Despite having this before in the past, I didn’t have much fond memories of it. Without the pork lard and greasy texture, it just doesn’t feel like a proper fried kway teow to me and even though I have requested mine to add chilli in it, it still tasted very sweet in my opinion. Plus the fact that the price for a small plate has increased from the previous $3 to now $4.20, it still didn’t wow me till today.
