For some reason, Sim Lim Square is known for Salted Egg Chicken Rice! There are two stalls selling similar things there!
We decided to try the salted egg chicken rice at 3 Meals a Day! They actually have a variety of chicken meat with rice series to choose from, but their most popular item is the salted egg chicken rice! ($5.90 + $0.6 for sunny side up egg)! Visited on a weekday dinner timing and it was soo crowded! Food took awhile to be served!
Crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and drenched all over with the creamy salted egg yolk sauce! The rice dish is served with a few keropok too!
We also tried the butter chicken rice! But between the two, I prefer the salted egg version!
Affordable and good!

Ordered the Salted Egg Pork Rib ($6.50) + egg ($0.70) and it was delicious and filling. This explain the long line of queue waiting for seats
Having their salted egg chicken with rice (Add egg + $0.70) @home.3mealsaday. Passby their shop that day and decided to try it out today 🤩 Taste so good and portion is just right , their salted egg chicken is a bit spicy and sauce not too thick great to pair with the rice. Their cracker at the side is crunchy and love their fried egg with runny yolk 👍👍

braved the super long queue to go and try their specialty dish! first bite i took i was blown away, and i could even finish the whole bowl without that ‘gelat’ feeling 😝 super good would go again
I finally went down for their famous meal - salted egg chicken ($6.50) + ($0.70) for sunny up egg and they got a variety of dish to order and variation for salted egg fish / pork / prawn to choose from also. I enjoyed their salted egg sauce to be smooth and mild spicy. I don't felt getting jelak tbh since its quite creamy and milky. Chicken serving was really getting small as I observed from picture at Google.
Salted Egg Pork Ribs is one popular dish in zi char stalls and Three Meals A Day's rendition ($7.20 with egg) is really not bad. Tender pork cutlets were drenched heavily in a thick luscious salted egg sauce that had a good balance of sweet and savouriness. You get hit by a strong creamy salted egg yolk taste, then the aromatics of the curry leaves and spice of the chilli padi. This is best paired with rice and egg! If only they gave more of those delicious pork ribs 😍
