For laidback Italian dinners over pastas, wines and delicious sharing plates, swing by this new kid along Jalan Kemuja. The menu is compact – the chef tells us it’s so he can easily change things up – but current must-haves include the fresh-flavoured Spinach and Chestnut Gnocchi (RM38), and the savoury and generously portioned Lamb Ragu Pappardelle (RM48). Lunch here, however, sees a 360-degree turn with just one main dish on offer — the chef’s signature Khao Soi (Thai curry egg noodles, RM25) that’s great for quick, solo lunches.
Zoe only serves this one dessert: airy tiramisu coated in a yummy hazelnut chocolate, sans coffee and alcohol. I do actually prefer this version as it’s not as rich.
Perfectly crispy on the outside but slightly dry on the inside for me, nonetheless it’s a tasty starter to go with. I love the housemade mayo it sits on – very light with a hint of lemon.
This dish strikes the perfect balance between sweet and savoury, especially in the sauce – a pesto made with spinach and chestnuts. I felt the portion was rather small but will feed one just nicely. Get this if you like light and herby flavours.
This Lamb Ragu is a little pricey but the meat portion is mighty generous. You’ll get perfectly cooked parpadelle coated in a sweet and flavourful lamb ragu, topped with fresh basil leaves. Highly recommend getting this and sharing as it can get quite rich for one.
