Food feasting and networking night with FEO.. Shall try to review tonight
Laksa 2 days in a row! One of my personal favorite dishes. How does this compare to Ivin's? Ivins one has more spices and the curry is thicker, with a distinctive Peranakan flavour. This one is more local, and not so concentrated. Seems like substantial, however still tastes great. Do remember to add chilli! Not spicy enough for me!
Kueh pie tee, a nonya dish with crispy pastry shells stuffed with thinly sliced vegetables, eggs and prawns. Had fun at the do-it-yourself station!
From left: passionfruit mousse, mango tango and white chocolate with orange mousse. Would only recommend the orange mousse one. Orange and chocolate is a sure-win combination for me. The passionfruit mousse was extremely sour and the mint jelly on top just made it worse. The mango tango was just a mess. Mushy and tasted stale.
Beautifully done. Smokey, flavourful and succulent chunky satay that hits the spot.
