Overrated heritage brand. This was supposed to be one of their signatures, but I found it worse than any in Singapore. The cake is castella, which I think is inferior to sponge cake. The kaya also so little.

Overrated heritage brand. This probably performed better. Three things made it very different from Singapore's. One, the kaya has a granular texture instead of a paste. Two, the bread comes in strips. Three, can't they bloody spread the kaya and butter? Why must we self-service?

Overrated heritage brand. For a Hainanese coffeeshop, this drink was sour.

Overrated heritage brand. Yes we should've ordered pork chop, but this and other foods showed a pattern. The chicken wasn't freshly fried, and so was soggy and cold under the sauce. The wedges were mediocre too.

This famous Hainanese restaurant is one of the oldest restaurants you can find in KL, and they continue to serve their authentic and traditional Hainanese cuisine in the city.

I decided to come here early morning to grab some breakfast with this Hailam Noodles, which is a noodle dish of noodles braised in soy sauce.

Of course they also offered other Hainanese foods that worth trying as well.

Yut Kee sells two kinds of pork chops, and this is one of the most popular orders. To be honest, it was alright in taste and definitely was not worth the queue. I think their Roast Pork Chop would be much more worthwhile. Give it a try and decide for yourself. 😉
