From the Burpple community

Established before 1984, this stall has a loyal following who love the thick gloopy braising gravy, carrying meaty savoury salty herbal earthy sour spice flavour.
.
Derived from the pork bones and herbs stock, enhanced with black vinegar, red chili, coriander, and white pepper. Uniquely, no minced garlic.
.
The chewy thick flat noodles and crisp bean sprouts lend grainy vegetal sweet flavour, while the thin silvers of tender braised pork belly carry meaty salty savoury herbal flavour.
.
Standouts here are the minced pork meat balls which are crispy outside soft inside with meaty salty savoury flavour, and the bits of fried dough fritter which crunch loudly with grainy savoury flavour but have to be eaten quick.
.
Completed with bits of flaky fried mackerel fish which lend pleasant fishy savoury salty notes.

This has got to be one of the most value-for-money breakfast in my list of hawker finds! Loaded with tons of protein - ngoh hiong, fried fish (fresh!) and chunky lor bak. This bowl of delicious mix seemed small but it left me extremely filled. This probably explains the 20-30mins longā€™ queue but definitely worth every second of wait time. My papa had this for the 2nd time and he rarely queues for food!

I like the noodles here, firm to the bite, somewhat al dente. The braised gravy/soup was also quite thick and flavourful. Reasonable portion of ingredients too.

The ingredients used were old school though weā€™d prefer that of other Lor Mee. Gotta have it with chilli and garlic which unfortunately ran out when we visited.

No!!!!

This used to be my favourite lor mee from Amoy Street Food Centre but since it switched hands... Terrible. It canā€™t even be compared to your average coffee shop lor mee. Should have known when I didnā€™t see a queue forming during lunch hour.
