Customised my own brown rice bowl for $11. ✨
I had the basil chicken, roasted broccoli with garlic, curry roasted cauliflower, soy eggs and nuts.
The portion was huge and I liked being able to customise because I chose everything I like! 🤩 It was a tad dry though, maybe because none of the ingredients I chose came with sauce. I tried my friend’s gong pao chicken and it was really good too!
Healthy bowl! Petit size. (Very sufficient proteins)
Base - Cauliflower rice ($1 top up)
Protein - Gongbao chicken (too saucy for my liking, totally soaked the cauliflower rice)
Sides - Roasted veggie with garlic mixed herbs ($1 top up) (not a fan, too much onions and they were pretty raw😅), Thai style tofu
Topping - Soy egg
Base - Veggie medley with honey citrus dressing (very interesting mix of broccoli & beetroot tossed in tangy light dressing)
Protein - Herb chicken (sous-vided to perfection! Very lean and tender. Smooth and not fibrous at all)
Sides - Baked spinach eggs (this was slightly dry and under seasoned) Thai style tofu (delicious! Love the firm texture)
Topping - Soy egg
This healthier version was lighter, still tasty but less flavourful than the original. It lacked the aromatics of the original thai basil minced chicken rice; and the saucy, salty and spicy kick packed in every scoop was missing.
Base: Spicy Brown Rice Noodles [$1.50]
Protein: Lemongrass Chicken [$2.50], Soy Egg [$1.50/each]
Sufficient portion. The lemongrass chicken breast was surprisingly moist and had a nice hint of lemongrass. Brown rice noodles resembled a lot like thick beehoon, doused in a spicy coconut gravy.
