(EDIT: as of 27 Jun 23, this stall is no longer on burpple beyond)
Used the burpple 1 for 1, order boneless chicken briyani for both serving.
Came with a packet of curry and onion coleslaw (the actual name evades me).
Briyani proportion of rice to meat was a little off (too much rice), would probably be enjoyable for carb enjoyers. Chicken was a little more spicy than necessary.
Curry is not savoury enough for me, and slightly more spicy than I'd like it (not ridiculously spicy though), felt that the curry didn't add to my enjoyment of the food
The onion was a good balance to the heat, and not overly pungent.
I'd say the food is fine with the 1 for 1. Less so without the deal.
I have been here a number of times and reviewed their mutton briyani a couple of times. Glad to say that the standard is consistent; the mutton isn't gamey, the briyani presents a flavourful and hearty meal that's available on burpple one for one. Place is conveniently located a stone throw from hougang mrt station.
I would recommend pairing the briyani with the paneer in butter masala. Those cubes of cheese are drenched in the creamy butter masala sauce, this dish is good enough to eat on its own. Rating 7.9/10.
A few stops down from Hougang MRT, spot this casual eatery in Midtwon along Upper Serangoon Road.Specializing in authentic Indian cuisine and all things briyani, order up their Chicken Briyani ($9), Mutton Briyani ($10) or Egg Kothu Prata ($6). Their Chetinad Mock Chicken Briyani ($9) is also a great option for vegetarians!
(Takeaway)The food was delicious but missing my favourite parpadum to go with my briyani. Quite filling and worth it with the 1 for 1 deal. Could have given one more packet of curry instead of just one small packet. But taste wise, nice and mutton was tender!
Managed to snag a good briyani deal with Burpple Beyond from Yasha Briyani. Yasha Briyani occupies a small unit at the retail area of the Midtown Residences, where seating area is extremely limited. I’d highly recommend to takeaway your meals! The Briyani itself was so aromatic, and the basmati rice was fragrant. The curry had a wonderful texture, a medium consistency of not too thick nor not too thin. Went for the boneless chicken which came in chicken chunks, it did seem a bit dry, but I guess that would have been expected. Overall, I thought the Briyani was very decent, and I think all the elements came together pretty well. The curry could have done with a bit more oomph flavour, but it was decently good and spicy enough!

This is my second time ordering from this place. Food was fragrant and flavourful, with generous portions of mutton ($11) Totally worth it with the burpple one for one offer. Having tried the fish and chicken briyani previously as well, I would say that the mutton is the best of the three.
Conveniently located along a row of eateries near Hougang mrt, I will be back to try their other dishes. 😋
