Unagi Foie Gras Barachirashi Don (unagi foie gras mixed sashimi don) 鰻フォアグラばらちらし丼! The lunch set came with side salad, chawanmushi and pickles, definitely one of the value-for-money options in town! Sashimi’s vvvv fresh! I’m not a fan of foie gras but according to my dining companion, it’s good! “Pan-fried & crispy”
A late night Japanese option.
We were wandering the Bay Area for late night eats. We stumbled upon Japanese Restaurant & Bar Yamakazi. It opened till 11pm and we were in luck. I ordered a chirashi and when they served it, it was terrible. It looked like a cheap garden salad with only five thin pieces of sashimi. I refuse to pay $32++ for that. Naturally, I complained. Found out that it was a kitchen hand that made my chirashi and not the Japanese chef. The wait staff apologised and got the chef to prepare one for me.
After a lengthy wait, I got my bara chirashi sushi (S$32.80++) 2.0. It came with sashimi cubes of salmon, tuna and kanpachi yellowtail together with actual crabmeat sticks, tamago and ikura roe! Pretty good for a chirashi served at 10:30pm! (Swipe right for before.)
It was quite an ordeal but had a good meal at the end of the day. Here's hoping to win an 18-course omakase meal at Ryo Sushi for my friends and I for #BurppleSushiMonth!
Extremely horrorable!!!!!! I would never come to this restuarent again. My parents and me ordered some drinks here at 5:30 pm. At 6:10 pm, they requested us to leave. They gave us the reason that some persons booked this table at 6:30. There are five tables with consumers at that time. We try to let them know, they should be polite, we are your consumers. You can require and give us a reasonable suggestion politely and we will understand, whereas to command us to leave. The waiter tend to throw us out.
We wanted to have some finger food and drinks at Overeasy, instead we chose to explore this Japanese Bar.

Premium Beef; $38.80
Black Cod Fish; $24.80
Asari Miso Soup; $5.80
Although we order medium well (not ready for pink/blood), the beef was surprisingly flavourful and tender. Accompanied with the ponzu sauce, a touch of perfection. Black cod fish was marinated with miso, it compliments the fish so well.
