But not sure it was worth the queue. Possibly because it was the last bowl and all ingred Had run put. Maybe because they got the order wrong and added chilli which left my companion choking and unable to eat 🤷♀️🤷♀️
Mushroom Minced Pork Noodle 香菇肉脞面 (S$4)
Came with 2 wantons, 2 meatballs, braised mushroom, and minced pork
Mee poh in spicy version
Pick between 3 different size $40, $50 or $60. Our family went for the $50 option. Although on a slightly pricier side compared to other steamboat we have at Hawker/ Kopitiam, the serving of the fish meat generous & fresh!

What hit me first was the que que (springy noodles). Not soggy not soft but a subtle firmness. Next to hit my palate was the chilli. The first slurp of the chilli coated noodles, I sort of went "whoa". With a hae bee hiam (dried shrimp) base, it was packed with alot of heat. A good punch on the tongue. This version of noodles does not have tomato sauce. Only tossed in seasonings and chilli. And I love the orange fishcake which is quite hard to find. Soup was sweet and flavorful.

An under the radar stall. Worth a try if you are nearby.
