Burpple states that it's open till 8pm but it was already closed around 6pm
They no longer sell bagels but the burpple still says they do; travelled all the way down and was disappointed. Do take note if you plan to head down, they only do the box of six now.
We got their truffle beef bagel ($12.90+$3) at the Burpple Food Street on Saturday! Lunch crowd had just rolled in and the wait for 2 bagels was more than 30 min 😓. We were also surprised by the size as it was much smaller compared to the ones given to our friend who had ordered earlier 🤷🏻♀️. The beef was cooked well, tender but bordering on chewy. Would give a pass on the truffle the next time as it wasn’t prominent (probably just truffle oil) and not worth the additional $3.
couldn’t say no to brownies with a gooey molten centre!🍫🍫 the brownie texture was a bit too dry, but i liked that the sour raspberry made this less sweet overall
Loaded with shreds of beef, the Classic Beef Bagel ($12.90) had a nice chewy bite to it with a flavourful meaty taste. The bagel bread itself was pretty good with slight chewiness and fluff. It's relatively smaller than other bagel-wiches I had and I wish there was more bite to it.
Tried the ’hojicha lava’ and ‘berries and creme’
(Applicable for burpple $26 for 6)
4⭐️/5 hojicha lava
3⭐️/5 berries and creme
Personally feel that hojicha is much more complex with the flowing hojicha making the cookie not that dry but intense. The berries and creme on another hand has a mild taste of berries and is a little too much for the whole cookie as the taste is quite uniform. Note that both cookies are quite huge!
