I loove kaya buns esp when they are done well. And this one was satisfying! A thin 'skin' of crispness outside, with a fluffy, chewy interior. The sweet coffee taste in the bun is distinct, but I wished it was a kopi kosong bun. Kaya ratio is optimal for the bun, and there's a big slab of cold butter which I thought was too much but it turned out to be an appropriate amount.
Decided to go for the Siu Dai instead of Siu Siu Dai. Pleasantly surprised by what one less Siu could do. Not as strongly bitter, but still sweet. This one was much better than its Siu Siu Dai sibling.
This was very bitter and very sweet. I didn’t like it at all.
$5 a set and I get a big cup of beverage which can be changed to a hot yuan yang without extra charge. #wangcafesg
Well , to be frank this meal is worth if u r an overseas student . The ala carte includes kaya butter toast, ice teh, & ofc ah ma mian. To be honest, the ah ma mian portion is pretty big for a person...the scent extremely tempt ur tongue to taste it immediately. The ice teh is not too sweet, the sugar dose is pretty ok. While the toast , the taste is perfect .... the portion is quite big. What a perfect combination with an affordable price !!
A bit too raw for me but they were fresh.
