The Unagi Kaisen Jyu ($19.80) comes with a generous portion of chirashi and a piece of grilled eel. The eel is sweet, savoury and tender. The chirashi is fresh and I love that I can enjoy two types of rice bowl at one go. I also topped up $3 to add a Chawanmushi but I wouldnât recommend that as there are very little ingredients and it is nothing much to rave about. Nonetheless, still a satisfying meal!
i thoroughly enjoyed this meal! the unagi portion seemed q small at first but i was v satiated by the end of the meal đ€€đ€€
hitsumabushi is a specialty dish from nagoya, consisting of steamed japanese rice, barbecue grilled eel fillet, a thick, sticky, sweet sauce, and assorted condiments and garnishes. the unagi was vv flavourful and they have more unagi sauce on the table so you can add more as you wish which i rly liked. my favourite way to eat this was with spring onions and their dashi stock. it was soooo comforting đ„°
they only had 2 staff serving at dinner time and the place was q full so it was hard to get their attention whenever we needed something but the service was still v good!
i bought their 1 for 1 voucher on chope so it was vv worth hehe
The restaurant is located on the second floor easy to find. The Eel rice set is very tasty, they recommend three ways to eat Eel rice, nice experience.
Two weeks in a row. Love the unagi and sashimi. Yuzu sorbet is refreshing and none of the artificial taste.
Very nice n thick unagi, chicken yakitori is nice too. Foodpanda dine in is a great deal
3.75â Purchase 1 for 1 Large size Una Una Unagi Hitsunabushi voucher during Chope Food Festival at $30 which is a steal. Ate once at Una Una 4 years back but I always preferred Man Man although it's pricier.
At first, I presume that the large size is meant for 2 pax but end up I finished it on my own with rice leftover.
