Reviews

From the Burpple community

Comes w agetofu as well

It's a very mild very plain side, the mushroom earthiness edge is present, could do with abit more umami

It's not worth it at all. The right one is free flow, the left one is ubiquitous and tasteless. Top is dry and hard, and still so after soaking in soup

Bottom is interesting, as reviewed before

From top, clockwise

Very gooey, no special taste
Dried texture but strong gentle umami
I think this is the most common one but idk if it's just the variety or cos it's fresh, the taste is substantially different from any other version I've tried
Wakama is mildly seasoned

Seaweed is good for you so this is worth ordering, good execution

This isn't sukiyaki, it's gyudon topping. Very ex for the portion, taste is pretty textbook (which is much better alr than most other places in Singapore) and the beef was a little bit more chewy than ideal but again, that's alr V good here

Choice of cold or hot soba

There's good reason why they're one of the more popular in SG. The umami of the duck rlly comes thru in the combination, the dipping sauce is better than I imagined. Duck and soba alone were both ok, the magic was in the sauce

There wasn’t many places in Singapore that specialise with soba and Tokyo Soba is definitely on the top of the list to go for soba.

Available in either warm or cold, most people would pair it with their popular tempura as well.

When I was here, they have this seasonal menu with sea eel. Unlike the usual unagi we have, they fried it into a tempura instead.

So no more the kind of unagi sweet sauce you would expecting, you would find the real taste of eel here.

It wasn’t too fishy for me still, as I really enjoying it. Generous size as well.

The warm soba is simple with enjoyable soup. Great texture of soba.
