Itβs really not how desperate times call for desperate measures when you are craving for laksa and go to Toast Box willingly β because the laksa here is my guilty pleasure. Itβs a bit on the pricier side with the set, but the nature of Toast Box being so accessible makes it easy for me to grab a quick and pretty damn decent lunch β with curry chicken rice and laksa being top two on my list. The laksa here by default comes with mee tai mak, which works pretty well with their broth. Their broth caters to the average Singaporean and in fact, tourist, whereby it strikes a good balance of creamy and mildly spicy, but nothing overbearing. Unlike some stingy stallholders in coffee shops, there is a good portion of taupok, fishcake, and prawns in this bowl of laksa as well.
P.S. Drink not pictured.

It is the 17th anniversary of Toast Box, and the coffee chain is celebrating this milestone with anniversary specials that will be available from 15 September to 31 October. The two limited-time items are the Dry Laksa and refreshing Butterfly Pea Lemonade and will be available at all outlets islandwide for dine-in, takeaway and delivery.
The Dry Laksa has an option of the noodle choice from bee hoon and noodles or mee tai bak, served with sweet prawns, fish cakes, beancurd puffs, soft boiled egg, and bean sprouts. The Butterfly Pea Lemonade is a thirst quencher especially during hot days. There will be a bundle set of a Dry Laksa and Butterfly Pea Lemonade complete with a teacake at $9.80 (U.P.) in store or 2 sets with teacakes at $17 (U.P. $19.60) at all outlets except Marina Bay Sands and Resorts World Sentosa.
