Pork Congee with Century & Salted Egg
Pan-fried Radish Cake
Pork and Shrimp Dumplings
(Part 2 of 2)
The outer crust was thin and extremely crisp while the sesame ball was warm to the touch and HEAVY. Just picking it up made me feel as though I was about to break into christmas presents! As my teeth finally sunk into the warm and light dough, the yolk inside thankfully lived up to expectations with a generous amount of filling overloading my tastebuds with just the right balance of saltiness and sweetness. Though it's no doubt a sinful dessert, it did not feel cloying or rich at all as the sesame ball was barely oily.
Definitely give this a shot if you're a fan of all things salted egg!

(Part 1 of 2)
Generous filling of BBQ pork within with a firm slightly sweet crust. I expected the crust to be more crisp and perhaps just that bit sweeter but overall, still delicious though not the most satisfying item I had which will be in part 2 :)
As Tim Ho Wan's signature item, it's no doubt a must-try for the uninitiated but for me, don't think I'll get it again at that price.

This chain’s congee is hardly my idea of congee as it is rather watery plus not much of salted egg (specks), never mind about the measly portion (about the size of cai fan porridge sized). ($6.5++)
Their wonton soup (not pictured here) is also hardly value for money, very different from the Hong Kong outlet or when the chain first opened in SG. But it can be said their prawns are rather fresh which is a plus point! ($7++). Of course it can’t be denied that this chain has its good points however most that I’ve eaten here just doesn’t wow me what with the price point unlike other chains with similar price points. ( Have tried the BBQ pork buns and spicy pork noodles which are not bad! ) Best item I’ve had here would be the juicy Siew Mais!
