Noodles were springy and el dente. Dumplings were meaty & flavourful.

Their char siew is the dry and lean type, so don't expect anything special.

I would say this is a slightly above average WTM.

Tian Xiang Wanton Noodle used to be located at the now demolished Tanglin Halt food centre.

Prices have gone up slightly but it’s still very cheap! I’ve reviewed this before - it’s not say *super* good but it’s something we keep going back to, it’s good enough. I prefer the black sauce one (this is the white one), bc the noodles are a bit alkaliny and the black sauce masks that. We opt for no charsiew bc it’s quite dry. Fried wantons are crispy and boiled wantons are slippery smooth, not very alkaliny. Noodles are springy and very nice when piping hot! Green chilli is a must.

When you get quite sick of cooking and washing up , what better than a takeout of a classic good old wanton mee.

Lean and tasty char siew , springy noodles , a dip of crisp wanton and juicy steamed wantons and the best part - that wicked homemade chilli which is so addictive .

This was pretty good, but I feel like what stands out the most to me in this store is the crispy fried wantons. Gives a very satisfying crunch! They are also very generous with the wantons - 5 boiled in soup, 5 fried wantons.

The noodle is flavorful while its texture is delightfully springy without the alkaline smell. I love the old school taste which reminded me of the wanton noodle that I had as a child.

What's admirable is that this plate of wanton noodle is actually prepared by a young chap probably in his late 20s.
