From the Burpple community

The Lunar ($6.80) intrigued me the most as it is shaped like a crescent (visually representating the brand) and had a surprise hidden beneath waiting to be unveiled. Biting into it, it felt l was eating a Kinder Bueno as a creamy filling of mascarpone mousse with valrhona ganache oozed out beneath a blanket of crispy and buttery pastry layer. It was a happy sweet treat that was satisfying but not heavy nor overly cloying.

Here is what we tried:
-Kouign Amann ($5): This was crafted in a different swirl shape that we are more used to! Instead, this was circular denser shape kouign amann. First impression, it was quite hardddd (because of the thick layer of caramelized sugar) and sticky to cut!

-Almond Croissant ($5.50): This was better than the kouign amann (when usually I prefer kouign amann to almond croissant). The croissant had a crispy flaky outer layer with thick portions of almond in the interior.

The staff did not offer the option to reheat our bakes, so the pastries were served to us at room temperature.

If you are intending to head here to utilise the burpple beyond 1 for 1, do note that it is only available for selected pastries like the above, as well as croissant, pain au chocolat, ham and cheese croissant.

šŸÆBunny Madeleine ($5)
This adorable madeleine is made with more care compared to regular madeleines, as they bunnies have to be removed from the moulds carefully so as to not break their ears or tails. I could instantly taste the sweetness of the honey that was added, and I loved how buttery and aromatic the entire madeleine was.

ā¤ļø8 Treasures ($7.80)
This pastry is made with 8 ingredients: jujube, longan, walnut, raisins, green tea, chrysanthemum, goji and honey. The jelly dome on the top has a nice aromatic taste and the entire pastry is fragrant and not too sweet. I was surprised at how well the jelly dome went with the traditional French pastry!

šŸ„Jujube Honey ($8.80)
This croissant is generously filled with red dates, longan stew pastry cream and topped with candied red dates. The croissant remains crisp even after a long time, and the fillings complement the buttery nature of the croissant well. The red dates give the pastry a very traditional taste and its definitely one of the most unique croissant flavours Iā€™ve had.

šŸPineapple Osmanthus ($8.80)
A CNY version of their ever-popular Fleur de Framboise, this pastry is shaped into a flower with pineapple stew in the centre and topped with osmanthus pear confit. The pastry is buttery and the amount of pineapple stew is adequate in providing each bite with a tangy sweetness. Do be sure to cut this in a cake style in order to enjoy a good dispersion of pastry and pineapple!
