The Durian Tree

Tagging along to the (seems like always) durian season, ordered this 2kg mao shan wang for $36. It came with satisfying small flat seeds, thick creamy texture and the bitter taste was ultimate 👍🏻 we were already very full from our korean fried chicken dinner, but still couldn’t resist grabbing this.

Great place in the West for your sudden cravings, wide range of durian species to select from, price ranging from $13 to $20 per KG.
We would always prefer honest durian sellers who update their prices daily, in written, so we wouldn’t feel like they are just shouting a random number based on their mood. We went straight for the MSW. As for most durian sellers, it’s 包吃 here too! We had a seed from the freshly opened Mao Shan Wang and the bitter sweet ultra-creamy texture instantly put a smile on both of our faces.

But I'm sorry, the durian season has ended as far as I'm aware 😅 Here's the King of Kings 王中王 😍 Solid bitter sweet flesh... My go-to places for quality durians: The Durian Tree & Combat Durian (Balestier)!
