canโt remember the price decent tendon but not the best. didnโt really like the batter wasnโt very crispy but not that bad either. had better tendons before.
Price: 12.70
Good for a quick tendon fix. A little bland but not something that sauce couldn't fix. Left me looking for more rice, in fact.
for super delicious tendons that surpassed our expectations! ingredients used were really fresh and the tempura batter was light and fried till crisp. Ordered both tendons with the original sauce which was tasty and the special japanese rice they used was really good too. look out for that tempura battered onsen egg lying on top of the rice - runny egg yolk alert ๐๐๐ป definitely coming back for more!!
From the Mixed Tendon, Vege Tendon, Anago Tendon and Ebi Lover Tendon.ย For any of the tendon choices that you pick,ย you will also get a side of smooth chawanmushi and miso soup.ย

From the folks behind the MOF group, Tensho offers decent ten-don sets at an easily accessible location (Centrepoint basement). Apart from the regular ones (fish, prawn, etc), they also offer premium options such as anago tempura. I'd say that it works quite well; the sea eel 's sweet, firm flesh nicely contrasted against the crisp batter. Brownie points given for the addition of tempura onsen egg here.
Each set comes with chawanmushi and miso soup, and is customisable. You can choose between original or spicy tendon, have soba/udon with your tempura, or even upgrade to "Japanese flavour rice" - a furikake-specked flavoured rice at an extra dollar. Ginza Tendon Itsuki is still my top pick, but I wouldn't mind coming here for a good-enough option minus the queue.
Got the Mixed Tendon ($14.90++) which came in a set, with a little serving of Chawanmushi & free-flow Japanese pickles. The Chawanmushi was surprisingly good - really silky & flavourful but it was a REALLY small serving. Japanese pickles were, well just pickles. On to the star of the show - the Tendon which was fried on the spot right in front of my eyes. It came warm, fresh & crispy. The tempura was really battered to a perfect yellow & everything was perfect. What was even more perfect was the tempura egg sitting atop a mound of rice & underneath the battered goodness. And what was the BEST in my opinion was the tempura mushroom. Like WOW they were honestly out of this world it had so much of a truffle-y taste and it was honestly sensational. Everything just went to well together & it's even greater that you have a whole bottle of tendon sauce right on your table (which I almost finished ๐ ). Do visit TENSHO if you're around the area! Can't wait to go back again soon! A 10/10 meal. ๐๐ป
