Small shop with a few counter seating at the side. The potion for $9 was small, great for a quick lunch in between work out sessions but definitely not enough as a meal.
($9 for hungry | $14 for starving)
Hawaiian Original Tuna bowl (bottom) & Kimchi Salmon bowl (top).
Their bowls are all pre-designed unlike other poke shops where I get to customise. Overall, enjoyed the original one a lot better as it’s sweet and salty which compliments the fish really well. Kimchi was a tad bit too sour for the fish. A pretty decent serving for this humble poke stall that fits only around 6-10 ppl & it’s price.
This was the wasabi with salmon option. Similar ingredient such as chopped walnut, tobiko, spring onion with japanese rice base. Stir in the onsen egg into the rice, is a way to enjoy the rice on another level!
Salmon cube tossed with roasted sesame sauce and added onto chopped romaine base. Everything in the bowl is pre-fix and you can’t choose. Additional a dollar for the onsen egg.
Got the Japanese sushi rice as base. Salmon portions were generous, and comes with onions, edamame and japanese seaweed. Abit expensive though, would rather go for Aloha Poke for greater quality.
You can choose from octopus or salmon and i opted for the latter since im not really a fan of sotong 😹 Also went for the red brown rice mix which required an additional $1 topup so the total was $15. However, you can purchase a $15 cash voucher for $10 on fave to save your wallet a little!
There's 3 sizes to choose from, namely the "hungry", "starving" and "famished". Went for the starving size but felt that the portion was actually rather small and definitely wouldn't have filled me up enough if i was really starving...
The rice was rather dry and the salmon was so-so, definitely not the freshest. Definitely could do with more of that sauce, which by itself was rather mild, wouldn't have guessed it was roasted sesame if i was blindfolded 😹
Shoutout to the friendly staff though, who kindly accomodated to my special requests of having chuka and edamames instead of the standard toppings of walnuts and shredded cabbage.
