BME Mazebowl ($7, clockwise starting from the biggest bowl). It’s a “Japanese Bak Chor Mee” they said. Sauce is colourless but full of flavour. L probably one of the must try from Connect 71!!
Lor Bak Bowl ($8): it’s a very average lor bak dish that many moms know how to cook it. It’s great, just not worth $8.
Gyudon ($8): didnt try this but my friends said they were great!! (I mean, anything Beats typical school food 🤩)
Students and staff are entitled to 10% off & top up $1 for their cold brew tea!!
($9 for hungry | $14 for starving)
Hawaiian Original Tuna bowl (bottom) & Kimchi Salmon bowl (top).
Their bowls are all pre-designed unlike other poke shops where I get to customise. Overall, enjoyed the original one a lot better as it’s sweet and salty which compliments the fish really well. Kimchi was a tad bit too sour for the fish. A pretty decent serving for this humble poke stall that fits only around 6-10 ppl & it’s price.
3.5/5
Every bowl comes with lettuce, 2 rice balls (u can opt for mixed grains or white rice) & pineapples. Top up an additional scoop of fish for $4.50 I think. Rlly VERY filling with all the add-ons I recommend 1 scoop + a topping for light eaters. I thought the mentaiko was very subtle but at least its light on the palette.
We had the Original Poke Shaker ($17) and Umami Omega ($17). Ever had the feeling of not wanted to finish your food so it can last a little longer? oh man :’) my fav part of the dish is basically the crispy kale chips with addictive lime avocado (i’m such a sucker or avocado 😭) AND THE SALMON ohhh god. It was our first time trying buffalo wings ($14) and we didn’t expect it to be THAT sour. Is it meant to be like that? oh man it was a cultural shock but overall experience was GREAT & will definitely head back to try more stuff.
