Super Thai Mookata

Had another amazing Mookata buffet experience at Super Thai Mookata. Their Standard Buffet, priced at $16.80 on weekdays and $19.80 on weekends, offered a generous spread of pork, chicken, seafood, vegetables, and sides. And for an additional $3, I could enjoy free-flow Thai Milk Tea. What a fantastic deal! This is definitely a steal.

The pork and chicken were marinated with a mild touch of garlic, black pepper, honey, lemongrass, teriyaki, basil, mala, and cumin flavours. The meat turned out tender and flavourful after cooking. To my surprise, they even had smoked duck as one of the sides. Where else can you find smoked duck in a Mookata buffet? They also included a small portion of seafood like sliced fish, scallops, squid, and prawns in the standard buffet, which added to its value.

The broth provided initially was rather tasteless, but it turned out to be a clever move. As the juicy essence from the meat flowed into the soup base over time, it became rich and salty, making it extra delicious. By pouring new broth, it helped balance the flavours.

If you find the meat lacking in taste, you can enhance it with their selection of sauces. Personally, I found some of the sauces a bit too sour, but the green one was more enjoyable. What's even more interesting is that they also provide cumin BBQ powder for dipping, giving it a skewer-like experience. Trust me, it's guaranteed to be flavourful.

The dining-in time is 2 hours, allowing customers to fully enjoy their Mookata experience without feeling rushed. This gives us ample time to savour the delicious spread and make the most out of our dining session.

Apart from the hot, humid, and greasy atmosphere of the coffee shop, I must say that this Mookata is worth every penny spent.
