Woah! This bowl of broccoli was really beyond my expectation! The broccoli was torched to crisp. Together with the parmasan cheese and papadom sprinkled on top, which added an extra point to the dish itself. Recommended 👍🏼
Is just shoestring fries mixed with nachos cheese and pulled pork. Not much of char siew taste
Salmon was baked to a nice softness. Scrambled eggs was just quite normal, but the edamame mash gave this dish an extra oomp! Recommend 👍🏼
The Real Salted Egg Burger 🍔 • $14 a complimentary Hot/ice tea between 3pm-5pm ☺️ A whole fried chicken thigh with homemade salted egg sauce !! Yummm 🤤🤤
My second visit for the Har Cheong Gai. Don't really like the waffles as can't taste the fragrance of the flour. I must say the chicken is really nice.
Beef & Grains [$25], quite like the beef & the gravy. It's a nice combination.
As for services, sorry to say it's really bad. Waitress serving the food like throwing the plate on the table and also no smile on her face, like owe her 💰
All prices are NETT, cash term only.
First visit and frankly we won't be back. We came with high expections and left with unhappy tummies.
The spam fries tasted dry and bland. The beef and grains dish....tasted mediocre with the beef being too chewy and way too soft. The pork chop was tender but the sauce is simply too sweet to stomach. With the high price tag per dish, we were expecting more but unfortunately it failed our tummies. Overated food.
I didn't see anyone ordering this but still decide to go for it as I have seen rave reviews of this salad. The broccoli salad was very interesting with different savoury notes. It would taste different when you add the red sugar by the side of the plate. The only issue I had was the dish felt a little too oily to me. This is definitely not something to order if you want something healthy or light tasting. Best when shared with 1 or 2 other people! #BurppleXChope
Yum yum. A must get if you are at Sin Lee for lunch/dinner. The sweet potato fries are well-cut and are of relatively even size and so they are all evenly fried, which I think is something that's very important for fries. The salted egg sauce is also well-made - creamy with adequate salted egg aroma without being gelat. It leans slightly to the sweet side though, so you might be disappointed if you prefer the savory kind.
Opt for the savoury option for waffles instead of the usual dessert kind. Additional Plus point would be the crispy ,marinated shrimp paste flavour boneless chicken leg. However once is enough! And it's always better to share the calories with a buddy.
i suppose half the cost of this dish ($26) goes into the foie gras. don't eat it often so i can't say whether it is good or not, but it was creamy without having too much of a funky smell.
otherwise...one could probably get the rest of this dish at a quarter of the price at a hawker center.
nevertheless, i will still come back to Sin Lee for the salted egg chicken burger and the broccoli salad 😍 #sinleefoods #BurppleXChope
Loaded with dainty cubes of salmon and tuna sashimi – the perfect size for shoveling gracefully into the mouth, scallions, furikake and egg cooked in homemade dashi. Could definitely do with some of this chirashi don right now.
When Singapore's best sweet potato fries meet Singapore's best salted egg sauce.
Food was mediocre but service was terrible
After ordering, after about 20 mins, my friends received their orders except mine. My burger was served to the next table (who just arrived). No apologies were said, finally after another 20 mins my mentaiko burger was served. No service recovery at all.
The only dish worth mentioning is the salted egg sauce sweet potato fries
Burger and Durian waffle was very average too.
Got the Duck & Duck which was a mish-mesh of flavours. Am personally a fan of bold Flavours but suspect some might find it a bit much/confusing. Foie gras was a big piece; could have gone for a smaller portion though as it got quite overwhelming and filling towards the end. I personally liked the addition of the Szechuan vegetables but that could also use a cut down and in smaller pieces. Their waffle was good, its texture light and fluffy. The Har Cheong fried chicken was nicely done, not over down on the seasoning. Interesting location and setting.
Pure Mao Shan Wang durian flesh, creamy coconut ice cream, coconut jelly, condensed milk, coconut flakes
Smoked & roasted Japanese moist duck, pan-caramelised creamy French foie gras, steamed Calrose rice with house-made roasted white sesame sauce, Szechuan zha choi, roasted duck’s skin, free range fried & runny hen’s egg
Twice-fried sweet potato fries, house-made salted duck’s egg sauce, crispy curry leaves
Jumped into the Bandwagon of Salted Egg Yolk madness, and here we are!
[*Real Salted Egg Yolk Burger* @ $12] The crispy and succulent Chicken Thigh was definitely the Star of this dish, despite it being the "Salted Egg Yolk Burger". Salted egg yolk sauce wasn't that much of a Wow factor, and it could have been better if they were more generous with the amount of sauce they put though. (We actually requested for more sauce and was told that it was an additional $6 for just a small cup😨) The sesame buns were great too. For those who love salted egg yolk and burgers, do give it try!
Overall Verdict:
7/10
PS: Order the Raspberry iced tea, super refreshing with a tinge of sourness. 😋
I don't know why nothing else seems to impress me here but these mini stalks of ~divineness~~ tho AMAZING
