Shi Jian Hot Pot (JCube)

It’s definitely cheaper than Haidilao, but service isn’t great. This chain also doesn’t have the buffet option - only ala carte so it wasn’t very worth it in my opinion. The sauce bar had a wide variety (though the sesame sauce tasted a bit strange imo). We loved the pig liver, yam and prawn paste!

The mushroom soup is very flavorful with strong mushroom taste and real mushrooms in it. The mala was too spicy and oily for my liking, won’t order it the next time.

Ingredients came in fairly large portions and were very fresh. There was a wide range to choose from too.

Would definitely be back again for the tomato soup next time.

I love coriander and the beef was coated in some damn good chinese marination that was herbal and spicy. it’s a pity that we ruined a few pieces of these gems by overlooking the beef though. 10/10 will return to this hotpot place!!

Best Hot Pot I have had in Singapore in terms of price, taste, quality of food and dinning experience!
