Even though Shake Shack is gonna be here in SG soon, it is still undoubtedly part of the quintessential US experience. I can’t take beef so we had the chicken which was okay (didn’t feel it was too poorly deep-fried) but I felt that it could be juicier. The bun was the highlight, soft and fluffy. Also, remember to add the mustard in US, important for a good burger. Had the peppermint chocolate holiday shake too, sinful but refreshing!
This sure comes close. The vegetarian 'Shroom Burger (USD 6.99) from the famous Shake Shack features a glorious deep fried portobello mushroom as its main ingredient.
Accompanied by trusty companions Patrick and Sandy — I mean, the fresh slice of tomato and lettuce, it makes for a gastronomical experience. Now, if only they would come to Singapore!
Oh, did I mention that the portobello mushroom is stuffed with melted cheddar cheese?
Hamburger bread, crudely cut(wasn't even cut to the end), buttered and grilled. Tender, juicy beef patty. Cheese. Shake sauce( loved it! Tasted like mustard + something). Mushroom patty, one single huge portobello mushroom. Tomatoes. Lettuce. Tasted like heaven. Must try in NYC! Don't be scared off by the queue, it moved really fast!
New york's favourite burger, Shake shack! Shake stack is a burger with a beef patty and mushroom patty with shake shack sauce and cheese (and fresh vege). While the smoke stack is a burger with a beef patty, smoked turkey bacon and chilli. Both burgers were really good! Their signature lemonade was very refreshing as well. A must try in New York!
