a cute, small, and slightly hidden cafe in the holland village area! really worth it with 1 for 1, as we paid $4.50 for 2 single scoops (earl grey and houjicha, would recommend!)
a bit miffed that half of the ice cream flavours were premium flavours though (+$1).
Known for the best fish head bee hoon soup in Bugis, visit their Hougang brance for specialty charcoal fish head steamboat and asian zichar delicacies! Order up their $12.90 Set for 2 (U.P. $25), which consists of mains, which comes with a choice of sliced or fried fish with beehoon or rice, fermented pork sides and ice lemon tea per pax.
We had dinner at Ma Seung Sek, an eatery located within ESR BizPark @ Chai Chee that serves Cantonese style dishes, recently (clockwise from top left):
~Sautéed Beef Tenderloin w/ Asparagus
~Baked Pork Ribs w/ Chef Special Sauce
~Stewed Eggplant w/ Minced Pork
~Stewed Chicken w/ Chinese Wine and Basil
~Crispy Squid Tentacles w/ Five Spice Salt & Deep Fried Crispy Beancurd w/ Salt and Pepper
~Deep Fried Crispy Homemade Vegetable Goose
I feel overall they’re a decent food option that won’t break the bank if you’re in the area. The dishes have a home-style feel to them, if you're looking for something comforting to eat. I’d recommend the beef, pork ribs and eggplant.
From Phati & Jane, the seemingly more established Thai stall. I ordered this for fun and indeed its standard was also for fun.
From the stall that primarily sells yong tau foo but has this, wanton mee and lor mee. A very simple bcm.
Got the Bangkok ($10) bowl which is vegan by default🌱 but you can add chicken (+$5). Comes with red coconut curry, vegan shrimp paste, butternut pumpkin, cashews & spiced mushrooms😋 We also swapped our rice for turmeric coconut cauliflower rice which was honestly so tasty👌🏼👌🏼
From 兴旺福州板面
Soft handmade noodles with lightly salted savoury soup.
Satisfying portion of sliced beef and vegetables.
Only $4 for now.
goes without saying that my first review is of chicken quesadillas. got the plus version which comes with more filling because i'm a hungry child who loves quesadillas. not the best quesas i've had in sg, but one of the more accessible ones and it satisfies my occasional quesa cravings 😌 nonetheless they're good and tasty!
