* This place has closed :( Please try somewhere else. * Saint Pierre Market is an outlet like none other. The latest brainchild of Celebrity Chef Emmanuel Stroobant (a vegetarian himself) focuses on fresh, artisanal produce, with more vegetables and fruits, and less meat, as he believes in the adage that a healthy outside starts from the inside! The Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health published five tips for sustainable eating: prioritise plants, minimise meat, select new seafood, look local and eat mindfully. With this in mind, Chef Stroobant has created a menu of hearty soups, delicious salads, gourmet sandwiches and wraps, as well as healthier sweet treats. While Singapore is not a natural resource for raw ingredients, Chef Stroobant has purposefully designed and prepared the menu for Saint Pierre Market using some of the best artisanal produce available in the local marketplace – balancing these to ensure value-for-money pre-packed ready-to-eat healthier meals.

The choice of bread plays a very important role in a sandwich. Here, the cereal baguette has crusty edges and chewy insides smeared with some wicked dill mayonnaise followed by layers of smoked salmon, Roma tomato, egg and lettuce. So simple but defo hits the spot!

After all that hard work shopping in town, don't flush your efforts down the drain and spend your calories on fatty food. Instead, head over to Saint Pierre Market and eat your way to a healthier you. This fuss-free concept from the Emmanuel Stroobant Group, also responsible for the Quayside Isle restaurant, Saint Pierre, dishes out quality sandwiches, wraps, salads, soups and pastries. Chef-owner Emmanuel Stroobant's idea of eating clean focuses on using the very best artisanal vegetables and fruits. Get the affordably priced pre-packed sandwiches to go, or pop by for a power lunch with your colleague slash yoga buddy. For a satisfying vegetarian option, dig into their Kale Soba Salad ($13.80), organic kale leaves with a gratifying crunch, served with buckwheat noodles and a side of cubed silky tofu and sprinkled with roasted nori, toasted pumpkin and sunflower seeds best paired with the gomadare dressing. Alternatively, the Lentil Salad ($13.80) boats clean flavours, with skilfully poached sakura chicken breast, tender puy lentils, a refreshing side of celery and a flavourful portobello mushroom topped with sunflower seeds. If a straightforward sandwich is what you're after, the tasty, classic Smoked Salmon Sandwich ($14.80) slathered with dill mayo on a cereal baguette is sure to satisfy. Wash it all down with a cup of Nespresso, Alain Milliat juices or coconut water to end that perfect #eatclean meal.

Expect the usual suspects, but with chef Emmanuel's subtle refined touches – romaine lettuce, free-range egg, homemade focaccia croutons, roasted bacon, shaved 24-month-old Parmesan (!!) – with a solid homemade dressing (love the extra umami punch from the anchovies)!

Perfectly cooked buckwheat noodles, fresh kale greens (with just the right crunch and no bitter aftertaste), cubes of silky tofu and seaweed strips doused in creamy gomadare (sesame seed) drizzle? YES PLEASE!

Just by looking at the list of ingredients in this salad, you know it's gonna be a winner. Oh, there are toasted sunflower and pumpkin seeds too – what's not to love?

Trust (vegetarian) chef Emmanuel Stroobant to give this protein-rich legume the right treatment.
I didn’t expect this to be one of my favourite salads here (tied with the Kale Soba), but the combination of tender puy lentils, fresh romaine lettuce, crisp celery, super succulent poached sakura chicken slices and uber flavourful oven-roasted portobello mushroom topped with toasted sunflower seed was spot on. You know you'll be getting fresh, quality ingredients here.
