Grilled Pork Cutlet ($6) is another cheap alternative from Western Barbeque (Old Airport Road Food Centre) 西餐. It is quite big portion for the pork cutlet and a bit salty for seasonings. I will highly recommended for a lot of different variety from main dish, spaghetti, fried rice. Although it is not near mrt for location based, a lot of people will know the place along the east coast road because of famous laksa and chicken rice at katong shopping centre.
This brought back lots of childhood memory, when Roxy was a Shaw Brothers' cinema, and Marine Parade, a barren reclaimed land. But the taste of this dish remains unchanged. Love the way the noodle was cut up such that it's eaten with a spoon. The gravy was yummy and we drank almost every drop. This is an institution!!
From the same foodcourt as "Janggut Laksa" is this unassuming western food stall. It's one of the more popular stalls here and i have been coming back over the years! Only eaten their meats though, never tried their pastas and stuff. Stall's "Andrew Kitchenette", if i'm not mistaken.
Rating: 8/10
Will i return/recommend: Yes/Yes
Pros: Really good meats, nicely grilled. Juicy & flavourful w/o being too salty. Can choose your sauce.
Cons: Small-ish portion, hardly filling.
Price: S$5.50 - grilled chicken chop w mushroom sauce, fries change to veg
A tiny gem hidden in Roxy Square One is Andika's Nasi Padang.
Nestled in a small food court, you can locate the stall by spotting the long queue during lunch hours. Most of the food court patrons are having the very affordable nasi padang ($4-6). There is a wide variety of dishes and they are tasty as well.
According to my little prince... It's good!! ^_^ again food court fare!!
Food court price 5 bucks but a pretty good fill up portion!! ^_^
