Western
In all honesty, food was good. Well executed and creative. But nothing that really stood out and blew my mind. There was no one dish that made me go OMG I'LL BE BACK FOR THIS. Perhaps it was designed to be so. Or just me that doesn't really fancy fusion.
Pork was a bit dry, i've had better & cheaper beef. Hamachi dish too sour, too much pickled radish.
Lovely place and service but cant help but feel it was overhyped.
From the same foodcourt as "Janggut Laksa" is this unassuming western food stall. It's one of the more popular stalls here and i have been coming back over the years! Only eaten their meats though, never tried their pastas and stuff. Stall's "Andrew Kitchenette", if i'm not mistaken.

Pros: Really good meats, nicely grilled. Juicy & flavourful w/o being too salty. Can choose your sauce.
Cons: Small-ish portion, hardly filling.
Price: S$5.50 - grilled chicken chop w mushroom sauce, fries change to veg
Used to be one of my most frequented places for dinner in the heart of bustling Orchard Road, when they still had 'AMEX Love Dining' promo's of 50% off for 2! It was so worth it then, but hv since ceased. I will pick this place for ambience rather than the food (nice but nth to shout abt)

Pros: Good service. Complimentary bread. Peace & quiet, super relaxing place. Nice ambience, very cooling at night. Food is fresh & high quality. My fav caesar salad, a must order! PĆ¢tĆ© was good, especially when paired with the bland lamb loin. Lobster linguine sauce nice.
šØ
Cons: No air-con seating. Lamb loin was sooo bland & tough (medium). Pasta noodles didn't absorb the flavours well.

Price: S$64.84 after 50% vouchers (org. $118.87) - 2pax, super stuffed couldn't even do desserts
Hougang outlet: Today while visiting, i'm having local coffeeshop western food @chargrillbar.sg š 2nd time trying, it's not bad! When you just want a quick & fuss-free meal.

Pros: Can choose your sides (the nice kinds). Substantial portions.
šø
Cons: Based on price alone, what's there to nit-pick on? If i must, the chicken was tad bit dry. Veg not soft enough, cheese sauce (pasta) very "chemical" tasting š & i won't order mushroom soup again.

Price: S$9.50 - salted egg chicken chop + mushroom soup
East Coast Park branch: Have never been one for 'food shacks' in parks but this place was awesome! Having passed by @georgesbeachclub multiple times, it didnāt come off as a very promising place initially, but was proven wrong. Definitely lotās of improvements to be made but enjoyed myself there. Never expected the food to turn out so well š Relaxing vibe + good food is a winner for me.

Pros: Awesome view of the sea & to just people watch. Perfect for families, ample space within the compound. Sand-box play area for your kids. For the price paid, itās one of the best pork ribs iāve had in SG, no kidding (my 1st time trying here). Fried stuff was really good too!
Cons: Avoid the weekends if you donāt like screaming children. Crowd can get quite loud & chaotic. Difficult to get the servers attention, they are usually camping inside.
Price: S$53.90 - Fishermanās Basket, BBQ Pork Ribs (Full Rack)
Good ol' classic American restaurant @Hardrockcafesingapore for some bbq goodness. Brings back memories where it was always the place to go when you are travelling. š

Pros: 10 pts for the absolutely wonderful service! Loved the live-band and the entire vibe of HRC. Nice and nostalgic place for a night out. Mac n' cheese was the saving grace. Great place for a drink.
Cons: Food-wise not the best, ribs were rather dry and chewy. Not as juicy, succulent and tender as i wanted it to be. Fries were lousy. Dont go just for the food alone. It's LOUD and noisy, go only if you are comfortable.
Price: S$78.85 for everything pictured. Do note we ordered a whole rack of ribs and plated it separately.
