Ringo Homemade Fishball Noodle is real find and #gem in this #hawkercentre. The noodle is garnished with minced fish paste, 2 types of fish balls and fish cake. #Yummy. How can #bibgourmand miss this stall?
Most people love the noodle at this Michelin 1 star stall. I love the dumpling - that umami-like taste of the filling is just great. Hey, just add $1 of top-up, and you will savour the meal!
This dumpling (水饺) at #NamSeng is the best kept secret from this 40 year old noodle stall. The reason is because it's gone before the lunchtime crowd could descend here. Each handmade dumpling is packed with the goodness of water chestnut, minced meat and prawn.
This brought back lots of childhood memory, when Roxy was a Shaw Brothers' cinema, and Marine Parade, a barren reclaimed land. But the taste of this dish remains unchanged. Love the way the noodle was cut up such that it's eaten with a spoon. The gravy was yummy and we drank almost every drop. This is an institution!!
Famous #whitleyroadbigprawnnoodle @#oldairportroadfoodcentre. The prawn was fresh, sweet and cooked to perfection. The broth, as if thousands of prawns had just taken a dip, was flavourful, savoury and yet, not too rich. Didn't want to be greedy, i ordered the SGD 5 portion that come with spare ribs.
Traditional #fishball #kwayteow from #soonwah #顺华鱼圆面 @#newtoncircusfoodcentre. Love the concoction of vinegar and chilli for the dried version, while the handmade fishball and umami-like fish dumpling tasted great. Highly recommended amidst all the seafood BBQ stalls in food centre.
My favourite #fish with #bittergourd #soup. Extremely fortunate to be given the premium #chutoro part of #batang or Spanish #mackeral fish.
It's my first time here, and the queue was long. As I approached the stall, I could see how meticulously each bowl of noodle was prepared: noodle was cooked to springy perfection and mixed consistently with the sauce, 3 slices of melt-in-the-mouth charshiu was added, with wanton and fried prawn in crispy noodle followed. It was garnished with chopped scallions and chilli.
The taste was great at first bite; but as I savoured the sumptuous ingredients, I found that the taste was one dimensional: different shades of saltiness. Hence, may I humbly suggest to tweak the taste, whether to introduce scallions with more bite, making use of sweetness or vinaigrette sourness. The noodle needs some unexpected element to accentuate the taste, to create that oomph factor.
Nonetheless, please keep up the good work. Need one more tweak to be elevated to the next level!!
Tasty curry chicken wing, crispy chicken cutlet, fried egg and cabbage, completely drenched in dark stew and curry sauces. Yummy!!
I love the freshly made fish paste used abundantly in all stuffed food items. The taste of the been hoon was expertly accentuated by the fried ikan bilis. Yummy.
This venison horfun is really tasty: the venison was lean yet tender, the horfun, well cooked. The gravy was simply yummy. SGD 5 is a steal!
