First established in 1985, @rongguangbbq have already been recognised by many food guides and even internationally! Did you know they used to have a stall at Makansutra Gluttons Bay, one of the famous hawker centres in ๐ธ๐ฌ?
Hereโs what we feasted onโฆ๐คค
๐Salted Egg Crab
๐Cereal Prawns
๐Sambal Chuk Chuk (Sea Escargot)
๐Prawn Roll
๐BBQ Sambal Stingray
๐Stir-fried Kai Lan
๐Signature Chicken Wings
Overall, the dishes we had were sumptuous and exceeded my expectations. Well-executed by the chefs, the fresh ingredients used definitely shined through, especially for the seafood! Special mention goes out to their tasty Salted Egg Crab, which was one of the best I had so far. Made from scratch using fresh salted eggs for the sauce, it certainly justify the extra SGD3 top-up.๐

Located on the upper floor of Bedok Market Place (a nicely furnished hawker centre close to Changi airport), we visited @rongguangbbq to taste ๐ธ๐ฌ national delicacies

The sweet and spicy sauce was like a flavour party to our taste buds - there were hints of egg, ketchup and even ginger flower ๐ฆ๏ธ Besides complementing the fresh crab, it also went really well with a bowl of white rice, but the real Singaporean way is to pair with fried mantous ๐

This was my first time trying stingray and the unique meat texture totally caught me off guard - it kind of melted in my mouth, but was still firm at the same time ๐ฒ A bit spicy, but still highly recommended!

Crispy, juicy, tender - would you believe me if I told you that I ate 5 pieces all by myself? ๐
