Rosu Katsu Teisyoku ($16.00) (slide 3) (3.5/5)
really kinda disappointed for pork with less fat and but its quite hard and not that tender. its kinda hard for me to eat finish. so its miss for me but should be ordering curry based instead nxt time.
miso soup and prickle i think that taste like instant type but i seldom saw tonkatsu shop will be having broccoli or carrot and even fried wedge potato 🥔. otherwise tonkatsu sauce was quite thick and sweet flavour tbh.
Fillet Katsu Teisyoku ($17.00) (4.5/5)
so soft and tender for pork fillet but got crispy texture for skin.
Chicken Katsu Teisyoku ($14.50)(4.5/5)
so soft and tender for chicken fillet but got crispy texture for skin.
Went this during weekday after lunch hours which is pretty empty at the Taka basement food area. Had this crispy pork cutlet together with the fragrant and hot Japanese rice. Very awesome!
I always saw this place when they are still at Takashimaya’s food hall but never got the chance to try their katsu.
Now Kimukatsu has taken over their space and they have moved out to Millenia Walk, having their own shoplot.
So today decided to grab my lunch here. It is still empty when I came for early lunch on weekday at 11am. The staff was very friendly to introduce the menu.
I got the one that most people would order. Come in hot plate with stewed gravy and soft onions. Center that’s egg beneath the pork cutlet. $18
Millenia Walk #01-88: We really enjoyed the $18 Hotplate Katsu and curry Katsu here. They were at Takashimaya basement for 20 years before shifting to Millenia Walk. With no 10% service charge, it’s a good value for money! Recommend!
