a taste of childhood - i’ve always been the kid that orders strawberry flavoured everything if i had a choice and i love how mcdonald’s newest strawberry pie hit the spot exactly! it was not overly sweet with small bits of strawberry within. a perfect snack to end off the meal.
headsup tho, not for strawberry purists (if there’s such a thing) also, the ambience here is 💯, officially my new favourite outlet 🙌🏻
New breakfast item, this looked great on the adverts, but unfortunately, didn’t taste as good. The wholemeal bagel was slightly too dense for my liking. The egg was great, so was the melt-y cheese. However, due to the thick/density of the bagel, the savouriness from the egg and melted cheese didn’t seem to taste prominent - pretty much ‘masked’ by the thick doughy bagel. I was pleasantly surprised with the shrooms tho! Was half expecting it to taste like canned shrooms but glad to know that it was better than expected! Pretty much looks like the kind that you get from a proper big breakfast ordered from a cafe.
“100% Angus beef patty dipped in a rich, mouth-watering rendang sauce made from a blend of coconut milk, ginger, kaffir lime, lemongrass, onion, garlic and spices” with a fried egg on top
I liked this! Am personally a fan of rendang, and this hit the sweet spot with a good (flavourful and not weird for a fast food outlet) rendang sauce with fried egg and very welcomed onions. Tastes less sinful than a fried-patty burger also - do give this a try!
Remember to ask for more sauce though - mine got dry towards the end.
I've conquered the Angus hill!! Heeee..yaaaaaaa... Aatttahhhhhh.. Bananaaaa🍌🍌🍌 nana..
Singaporean Flavors but Not Really...
The Salted Egg Yolk Chicken Burger is almost like a McSpicy, except that the juicy chicken patty was not spicy but topped with salted egg sauce. The sauce itself lacked fragrance from butter, curry leaves and chili padi. Although creamy, the sauce was too mild that the whole burger tasted almost bland. Is it worth the craze? I don't think so...
This deserves a post as the 'poor man's Big Mac' which you can get at half the price!
Order a 'McDouble' and ask for no pickles or ketchup but have the Big Mac sauce and lettuce instead - and voila! You have a pseudo Big Mac, without the awkward bread in the middle and some spare sesame seeds. Cheers to saving money 😬
