Heads up strong palates, this is the dish for you. Underneath the rich and thick sauce made of milk, chilli, lemongrass and mint, you'll find a medley of fresh seafood such as prawns, fish slices, scallops and squid. The sauce is creamy, spicy, and simply explosive.
Take my suggestion and order some fried mantous to pair - you'll get something in between a chilli crab dish and lobster rolls. Sinfully good.
Red House may pride themselves in their seafood, but they dish out fine dim sum during lunch time too! (I quote my uncle, "even better than Crystal Jade's" ๐คญ)
Apart from the classics like Ha Kaw ($5), which is top-notch with its bouncy shrimp filling and superb skin, and the Char Siew Crispy Bun ($4, not pictured) that tastes better than Tim Ho Wan's, it also has a few unique offerings. The Truffle Wild Mushroom Dumplings ($4) is one, with truffle-laced minced mushrooms encased in a soft, spinach-infused skin. My family also loved the Takesumi Chilli Crab Bun ($8, not pictured) that spots a thick, tangy and mild spicy chilli crab filling in a half-steamed-half-baked charcoal bun. So delish!
Lobster promotion at 40% off, $88+ per piece. Fresh and succulent lobster fry with delicious custard cream: thick, sweet and buttery gravy that is not too surfeit due to the mildly distinct sour that blends so well with the other flavours. Highly recommended to anyone dining at Red House as I consider this my favourite dish based on my experience there.
One of the highly recommended dishes at Red House. The milky appearance of the dish implies lengthy boiling to obtain the concentrated crab stock. The seafood flavour is deeply immersed in the soup and rice and is super addictive. Generous portions of crab meat and fried rice puffs gives extra texture to the dish. Double thumbs up!
Enjoy 20% off for dim sum at Red House. The truffle mushroom dumplings are delicious and really worth a try. Don't be fooled by the dark green hue of the dumplings- It is made from spinach and is all natural. The inner fillings has a strong aroma of truffle and were made of chopped mushrooms.
Seafood such as Scallops, prawns, sotongs and fish fried together with thick sambal chilli paste and coconut milk. The selection was extensive and the seafood were fresh and succulent. The concentrated spicy gravy was so amazing:saturated curry-like gravy that was used to cook and marinate the seafood, such that the flavours were deeply embedded into them. Highly recommended for diners at Red House seafood.
Flavourful homemade Tofu infused with all the goodness of the spinach, giving it that beautiful lustrous jade green complexion. Laden on the clear compoy infused stock and white shimeiji to give that extra texture and crunch. This is clearly a winner as far as a tofu dish is concerned.
Not a huge fan of the chilli crab here, but the black pepper crab is super duper! The sticky sauce wasn't too peppery and had just the right sweetness; the crab was also fresh.
Huge fresh prawns cloaked in pure salted egg goodness! While the sauce is not the creamy sort you can douse over rice, it sure packs an intense punch of flavours. ๐

Loved the truffle mushroom dumpling and liu sha bao! The prawn fillings for various items were fresh and plump. The har gao packed with prawns encased in a thin skin was good. Didn't enjoy the sourish (where the chilli at?) chilli crab bun though it came with a fair bit of shredded crab meat. Attentive and good service. 40% off dim sum till the end of the year! I had to put Red House on my makan schedule after learning about the ongoing promotion from @that_dex. Yum Cha is no longer a weekend indulgence anymore when we can order dim sums at 40% discount DAILY until 31 Dec 2016. The promo is valid for lunch and last order is at 2pm. The dim sum items are noticeably lesser in variety but we got to try uncommon dishes such as Truffle Wild Mushroom Dumplings, Crispy Vermicelli Seafood Roll and Takesumi Chilli Crab Buns. ๐ Though the chilli crab sauce was slightly too garlicky and ketchup-ish for me, I like the crispy charcoal bun and chunky crab meat. They actually fried the Chilli Crab Buns after steaming them to attain the soft yet crispy bao exterior! ๐

Say what? One basket of 4 pieces of Ha-Kau for $3.60๐ฑ? By far one of the cheapest dim sum in Singapore currently! Ha-Kau skin was silky and thin, dumpling was generously filled with prawn flesh.
@redhouseseafood serves really quality dim sum and they are currently having their 40th anniversary promotion until end of the year offering 40% off on all their dim sum menu items. Signature items include their chilli crab ๐ฆburger and truffle wild mushroom dumpling.
Normally dining here is pretty pricy, but with a 40% discount off all dim sum (it's their 40th birthday๐), I'd say it's quite worth it!
The classic Ha-kau and Siew Mai were good but we'd avoid the Lotus Leaf Glutinous Rice as ours was a bit dry and hard. We really fell in love with the Crispy Vermicelli Rolls โ wispy, deep-fried vermicelli wrapped around prawn filling was so good with their shiok, shiok chilli sauce (which was applied generously to all our items๐ถ).
The promotion is running until the end of the year, so if you've got a dim sum craving, this could be a good spot for you! ๐

FYI, they're also celebrating their 40th anniversary, and will be offering 40% OFF ALL #DIMSUM throughout 2016!
50% off for ala-carte dim sum lunch menu until end of year. There's also a $16.50++ set option (Min 2 to dine). The charcoal black chilli Crab bun lacked kick. The green truffle mushroom dumpling fared better. But the star of the day for me was the vermicelli roll, at top right.

This crab had undertaken extensive seasonal migrations, before it gets landed on our plates. There are many varieties of crabs, but Red House specially import brown crabs (new modern menu) from Scotland, due to it's soft, flavoursome flesh.
This Scottish Brown Crab I had contains plenty of sweet, succulent flesh. You can have it steamed, or cooked in white pepper. Thinking of dinner plans later, and over the weekend. Maybe I should head back to Red House for great tasting seafood sometime soon!
