an all-time favourite since young! i don’t crave for malay cuisine very often but if i do, red ginger is always the first place i think about. their food options are always tasty and well-flavoured!
At the basement of PLQ mall (Paya Lebar MRT), there are many food options and we are quite delighted to find this Malay/ Nasi Padang place called “Red Ginger” (the original outlet is in Jurong East). We decide to grab these 2 takeaway nasi lemak to try.🍛
.
The price might be slightly more expensive than the hawker centre but they give 1 big omelette + 1 big otah (as in picture). The rice has coconut fragrance & a bit of lemony making it very palatable when having with chilli & ikan billis. We think it is well worth for having this takeaway from the mall.
.
P.S. we shall try their Nasi Padang other time! more choice to the PLQ mall eateries! 🤘😉
Definitely not bad! I'll go back there to try the chicken cos the pieces looked huge. The sambal goreng was interesting as the green beans were so crunchy! The crunchiest green beans I've ever had in my life. In a good way. It made the whole dish feel so fresh.
$5.80 for 3 vegetables, though it's not technically 3 veggies haha!
