Dined on a friday evening, be sure to go early as the queue was long even at 8pm! Service was great:) Must orders for me were the side dishes surprisingly.
Favourites:
Prawn paste chicken (har cheong gai)
🍗 very crispy and juicy
🍗 fermented taste was more prominent than other places i have tried, quite a signature
Sharing platter (ngoh hiang)
🍥 ingredients were very fresh
🍥 my favourites were the fishcake and tofu that was juicy and soft on the inside
Prawn Noodles
🦐 the dry noodles were yummy! flavourful and aromatic sauce with pork lard added on top
🦐 broth is rich and umami but i wouldn't say traditional
A delicious and satisfying meal! The Prawn Paste Chicken and Claypot Hokkien Mee were the clear standouts, while the Ngoh Hiang and Prawn Noodles rounded the meal perfectly. A great choice for seafood lovers and fans of flavourful, well prepared local dishes! Definitely coming back for more! 😋😋
Claypot Hokkien Mee 🍜🔥
Served piping hot in a claypot, this Hokkien mee was pure comfort food. The thick, wok-kissed noodles soaked up the savory seafood-infused gravy, delivering a rich, smoky aroma (that unmistakable wok hei!). The prawns were fresh and plump, while the addition of pork belly and squid added extra layers of flavor.
The Prawn Mee Broth was flavourful and the prawns came peeled which made it easier to eat
The fried hokkien mee is flavorful with fresh prawn. Prawn mee soup came with tasty concentrated broth.
I had spicy prawn noodles with Tobiko prawn balls and added on some lala, I must say that their broth was very flavourful and service was fast as well. Do try their ngoh hiang and sotong youtiao which go very well with their chilli sauce! I would recommend coming early as their queue can get quite long.
