All dons are going at $8 nett for their special promo now! This grilled salmon don comes with multi-grain rice (tastes like a combo of brown rice, barley, and red bean, which was pretty good with the teriyaki sauce), onsen egg, and grilled salmon, which was really worth for the price. The self-device ordering system was cute and pretty easy to use too.
Fuss free one dish meal from Omoomo. Spicy Chicken, Korean White Rice, Assorted Vegetables, Onsen Tobikko.
I think this place has the potential to do really well because:
1. Food concept has novelty. Korean fusion Halal certified food potentially attracts the young people and family crowd here in downtown east, especially so during weekends.
2. Food is pretty yum and served quickly. Brown rice was cooked well and tasty and that's not super common elsewhere.
However, don't come here if you're super hungry
I paid $15 for a REALLY small portion of brown rice with salmon, a half-hearted plate of gyoza, and an iced lemon tea.
Service can be improved because while it's all self service, staff really didn't seem to give two hoots about the customers. No "welcome" no "thank you"..
While I see the possible popularity of this place, will I visit again?
probably not.
Was feeling hungry right after eating yoghurt and so, I decided to dine in at Omomodon! Had an option to āBuild my own donā and here is what I picked!
Grilled salmon
Udon
Soup with soy based
Kimchi omelette
Teriyaki sauce
Sides:
Fried dumpling
Everything cost $12 including a bottled drink of mineral water. Well, the meal was okay for me. I was mostly full because of the grilled salmon. The kimchi omelette was quite delicious though.
Featuring Yes Sir! Yes Sir, Ji Ji Don, Croquette, Takoyaki and Fried Ebi. You may also personalise your bowl! .
