โข Fried chicken:
We had the plain, honey soy and spicy versions and my fav was defo the spicy one! It was reminiscent of the yangnyeom chicken I had in Korea albeit a bit less crisp on the exterior. The portion was also relatively generous and quite worth it! :)
โข Jajangmyeon:
This looked really good but I was disappointed that it wasnโt up to standard as it lacked that smoky black bean flavour and was pretty one dimensional. Hence, eating this became really jelat. The meat in the sauce was also too finely minced and didnโt provide a textural contrast to the noodles :,(
Overall a 7/10 and I think going for the fried chicken would be the best
These 7 pieces really do make up a half chicken as I identified the breast, drumstick, wing, etc. The honey butter powder paired wonderfully with the crispy chicken skin/batter (honestly couldn't tell for some pieces). But eating too much definitely gave me a sore throat the day after so I would recommend some restraint and ordering perhaps the 4 piece set instead....
Also, the waiting time is quite long so do factor that in when making plans to try this!
Yums crispy Korean Fried Chicken in Toa Payoh! Easily one of the better korean fried chicken in Singapore! Its tended by a Korean (authentic!). Tried their Soy this time round. Compared to the other places, the soy sauce is very liquidy but soaks into the chicken nicely. The honey butter was nice too as I recall.
4 pieces each of chicken tenders. The chicken was presented in its own little basket and cut into bite size pieces. The meat used was breast meat. It's rather moist and we'll seasoned. The batter used was pretty light and goes well with the condiments provided.
The honey butter powder.. That's like crack. You just want it to br sprinkled on everything. It's a little sweet and has that umami flavour to it.
Coffeeshop setting, so don't expect too much. Service took some time because it was the dinner rush. But the food didn't feel rushed at all. They took their time to do it right.
thin and crisp skin, encompassing tender and juicy flesh ๐คค this honestly surpasses all standards of fried chicken! love how itโs so flavourful, yet not oily (idek how) + they r generous in portion too. $13 for half a chicken is rly affordable! wld defo come back to try the honey butter one the next time
