Local version of bcm. I ordered without vinegar and chilli. Hence, the noodles turn out bland. The mushrooms were also bland. The meat was tender. The mee kia was cooked just nice. The main point would be their soup which is very flavourful. Perhaps i would try the soup ver or xiao wan mian next time. If u want something more flavourful, can try the msia ver bcm nearby.

Helmed by Yap Lye Hock since 2009, the stall itself has shifted locations at least 4 times over the years, sometimes remaining closed for up to 1 year, before restarting in a different location.
.
Since he announced his original retirement in 2016, his 2 disciples stepped up and now each helm their own stalls, though "Uncle Yap" eventually made his own sporadic return (these days he alternates between working and retirement).
.
Of note is their soup, made by stewing a combination of pork bones, chicken bones, anchovies, and soy beans, resulting in a lovely warm sweet savoury flavour.
.
The pork slices and minced pork are tender with meaty sweet savoury flavour, the fish cake slices are bouncy with mild savoury salty flavour, while the soy braised shiitake mushrooms are springy with vegetal salty earthy savoury flavour.
.
The mee pok / wide flat egg noodles are springy with a light chew, picking up the balanced gravy well, which carries savoury salty spicy sour flavours from the rich black vinegar and chili.

Al-dente and springy noodles tossed in braised mushroom sauce, topped with generous servings of sliced mushrooms.

Both the dry BCM / 小碗面 includes ingredients such as fishcake, liver slices, minced pork and pork slices while the soup version came with a drop of egg too. I preferred the soup version for its very satisfying thick and full-flavoured soup filled with porky goodness with a hint of sweetness.

Minced Meat Noodle 》$5
Dish & Noodle (小碗面) 》$7

Noodles are springy, vinegar and chilli sauce mix is very well-balanced, pork slices are tender, and the mushrooms add that extra umami punch! The soup that comes with it is also very flavourful! Highly recommended!

Tasty and rich soup, treat yourself to the mini pot noodles.

Come early. its popular enough that it can get sold out by 1230 sometimes.

Might be hot because you are sitting near the main road.

But its a small price to pay for tasty and comforting noodles.

Macpherson minced meat noodle has shifted many times, last time I had it, it was at opal crescent(serangoon road). It then moved to marsilling.

Well, Macpherson minced meat noodle have since shifted back to its namesake, it is now located at the head of Macpherson road near tai thong crescent.

Just like back at opal, expect a long queue during lunch time.

Decided to have the $7(dish & noodle) set.

The noodles still just as good, it was very QQ, and has pork lard and braised mushroom in it.

But the lean meat must be the best I ever had in a BCM stall, its soft like shabu shabu. The soup is quite good as well, taste better when mix with chilli padi.

They close early too, by 2pm or when sold out.

So don't come too late. Have early lunch here.

I came at 12pm and already run out of pork liver.
