The perfect sweet ending to my lovely set lunch. This is essentially a deconstructed pistachio cake with minced pistachios, vanilla custard, mixed berries, coriander ice cream topped with a thin crispy cookie. A very beautiful and delicious dessert in a generous serving.
This is a lovely place for lunch on a weekday. Great service and tasty food on exquisite plating. Nice ambience and music. I'll be back. 😊
These were really awesome! Meat was deliciously tender with a slightly crispy crust. The side of cabbages was also beautifully done; it was one of the most delicious vegetables I've eaten. My only complaint is that the portions here are on the small side so definitely do get the 3 course instead of 2 course meal.
You eat this by spreading the delicious minced duck onto the bread. An excellent starter. Didn't really like the caper berries though. Found them too saltish. But for people who prefer their food to be stronger in taste, the capers will make a good accompaniment for the minced duck.
Soft and fluffy inside, that you would think that you are literally riding the clouds in the sky! Crisp thin potato skin on the outside, and perfectly cooked through inside. These babies sit on sour cream and topped off with a handful of chopped chives. Literally fluffy on fluffy, like the four cygnets in Swan Lake repertoire dancing together in synchronised harmony. What a perfect side, to any mains.
The name of this dish alone should be enough to whet your appetite. The pork was simply sublime - two generous chunks were given, each incredibly tender with just the right fat-to-meat ratio. It simply melts in your mouth. The crispy brown rice provided a nice crunchy texture to the dish, while the cabbage helped to balance everything out. If you're a meat lover, you should definitely should get this if you come here.
Most people like myself will just walked pass this place without knowing there was this restaurant.
Their combination of ingredients was more unique. The best dish we had will be this. After 12 hours of slow cooking, resulted in this tender pork. The nutty rustic brown rice created the contrast of texture. Together with the buttermilk and brown sauce, this dish brought much comfort to our tired souls.

MACA is situated at Tanglin Post Office, away from the busy streets of the main town area. It's perfect for a nice, quiet evening be it with friends or family.
To kick things off, we had a serving of scallops that were lightly seared, garnished with celery, grapefruit and soy. The flavours were light and refreshing and will easily get your appetite going. The scallops were super fresh - the sweetness of the scallops goes really well with the citrusy garnishes. It helps that it's also plated gorgeously. Definitely worth visiting, be it on a special day (ahem) or just to treat yourself.
MACA, is beautifully designed with warm lights right above each table, and charming grey walls. Isolated and quiet, this is the place to bring your date for a long, peaceful and meaningful dinner. And their menu didn't disappoint. Chose the baby octopus, and what a starter, it tasted like how these babies should be. Well-grilled, soft with a slight chewy bite to it. Each baby are grilled just so perfectly that I thought that they are still so "alive" in my mouth dancing to the rhythm of some sexy samba tunes. Perfect already on its own, that the miso mayo is simply just another alternative. Personally, I like food plain on its own. And this starter, I like, for its sweet taste of the sea. #EatBurpLove
Pink, in the most stunning way. The meat is absolutely tender, soft, juicy and have that "melt-in-your-mouth" feeling. Gorgeous, pan-seared, and beautifully cooked patiently, the result is absolutely stunning. As shown in the picture, the meat is to die for. The cabbage broiled, and slightly charred on the outside, brought the meat a hint of sweetness. The brown sauce and buttermilk sauce danced in harmony, and enhances the meat juice. The crisp rice grain, give the dish another texture, and when eaten with all 3 together, it's like the perfect Carmen repertoire, of the sassy, the strong, and the feisty. A perfect battle of passion on this very plate, finished in a great coda right down to your belly.
Burnt ginger custard, grilled rhubarb stalks, spices shortbread with lingonberry sorbet. Immensely satisfying! The last time I was this wow-ed by a composed dessert was Burnt Ends' pickled hibiscus with smoked Icecream (this was more than 2 years ago!).
In my opinion, currently one of the most underrated restaurants in Singapore; one to watch!

A substantial slab of Iberico collar slow cooked for 12 hours, caramelized kohlrabi and charred cabbage. I love my veggies, but they sure did a fantastic job with the cabbage-sauce combination (I didn't leave any for my dinner mates).

Confit duck leg with Asian chilli caramel and a stack of toasty waffles. Appears deceivingly stiff, but duck flesh was mega fork tender! Though this was served as a dinner special, it's usually available only on their Sunday brunch menu. The best darned Duck & Waffles in Singapore 🙌🏻

(unsure of price as this was a dinner special)

Maca's grilled lamb rump, still wonderfully tender and pink in the middle, accompanied with dollops of celeriac purée, kalamata olive jus, fried baby artichokes and a pair of halved caper berries. Truly a work of art!

Crisp skinned hunk of fish served with yoghurt so well seasoned and smokey as if it inhaled a deep puff of cigarette prior to being served. Best way to ingest, is to the pick a small chunk of Barramundi flesh, slathered it in Basil and Smoked Yoghurt sauce and top it off with a wedge of pickled onion and twig of Samphire. YUM.

The classic pairing of Beets & Goats Cheese with a tad of horseradish, pickled raisins and fresh pea shoots. For someone who adores beets, it wasn't all that earthy to me, so it's a good one to try if you've always shunned from beets because of the lingering taste of soil on your palette.

If you take spice and love a good kick of flavour, this Kimchi Beef Tartare's one dish you'd not want to share with other folks at your table. Chilled spicy Kimchi beef tartare with slivers of fresh green apples, pickled apples and grated salted egg. This, and a glass of white wine, just sit back and enjoy the deliciousness/simple pleasures of life everyone! Absolutely love the mind of their chef, Rishi!

Simply the most delicious pork collar. Taking ingredients from right upstairs - the Swiss Butcher, this little bistro is very handy for lunch, and lunch set provided at a very good price. A must try if you are in the area!
The bestest accompaniment to all other entrées at @macarestaurant: Roasted potatoes with a fat dollop of sour cream and (will you look at that) generous heapful of chopped chives 💁🏻 YES PLEASE! By chefs of Maca: @rishinaleendra @sleepymaan
