I don't care what you say, this is a landmark restaurant of Ipoh. They're interesting because they're kinda a seafood restaurant but their menu seems small, focusing on a few trademark dishes. This one didn't seem popular but a friend recommended it and I agree it's sick. The prawns are the size of crayfish and RM30 each, the gravy was super rich and the noodle had great texture.
I don't care what you say, this is a landmark restaurant of Ipoh. They're interesting because they're kinda a seafood restaurant but their menu seems small, focusing on a few trademark dishes. Everyone orders the porridge, which is differentiated by ingredients. This has baby abalones, crab meat and scallops. At $18 this is considered very expensive in Ipoh but serves two to three. The flavour was just very seafood. We counted around 30 abalones, it's insane.
For an explosion of deliciousness, you need to order the âWai Sanâ (Chinese yam) Noodles with Baby Abalones, Pork Skin Puffs and Mushrooms. The gravy is thick and sweet from seafood stock while the noodles are soft, similar to ćé˘ (âla mianâ). My whole family enjoyed this dish a lot.
This was my first time trying this vegetable cooked in this way. Previously I had only ever eaten it raw but I found it tasted just as good cooked. It retained its inherent succulent crunch and absorbed some of the flavour from the stock it was stirfried in to really tasty results.
Instead of the usual boiling method, the Fishballs here which are made from âSai Tor Yuâ or Ikan Parang, are steamed. They are large and taste very fresh. If you like fishballs, you need to try the ones here.
The Fresh Prawn Wantans here are so good. There is nothing padding up the filling so all you get is pure seafood. Very sweet, firm and bouncy and wrapped in thin dumpling skin. Shiok đ
