I WANNA TRY
Arriving with strong smell of truffles, the exterior was crisp yet the inside was moist with melted cheese. While the last mouth melts away, you're left with a lingering truffle taste.
It maybe 500 calories a ball...... but 1 wouldn't hurt, right? đł
After an indulgent dinner at Park Bench Deli, another beer might not be the answer for you and your friends, but the Ju Hua cocktail ($14) at Wanton certainly is. Open till 1am on Fridays, this might sound like an unlikely spot to get your drink on (since it really is a noodle bar), but seriously, you need to get your bum here. Spiked with vodka and served in a metal pot, this ice-cold chrysanthemum tea strikes the perfect balance between sweetness and an alcoholic punch. The best part is drinking from these little tea cups, of which five are filled to the brim with one pot. Order one pot at a time, this way you'll have ice cold drinks throughout the night! Have some fun sipping on these cool babies as you digest, and thank the stars it's Friday.
Just look at those cubes of sashimi! It's the most value-for-money chirashi I have ever tried, or possibly of all dons I have tried. One shouldn't expect the best cut of fish here but the freshness is definitely not compromised. They even add octopus and shrimp inside the don! The ratio of rice to sashimi is just nice and marination is not overpowering. Actually, in my opinion, this is the ideal marination with a balance of sweet and savoury. I'm glad that now I have a great place to go for my Monday dinner to re-energise myself after tuition without breaking the bank đ
Generous portion of smoked salmon on a thick pancake, accompanied with shaved onions, orange blossom honey and wasabi peas.
Before the bingsoo craze, the food fad in Singapore was owned by another from the same origin - Korean fried chicken. I don't think any place offers 8 flavours of sauce coating other than Chick And Ken. I wish I could taste all 8 on my own, but even just 2 was a challenge to finish. The salted egg sauce fully coated the wings, finger-licking good with the slightly grainy consistency and heat from the chilli padi. The brown sugar was not as sweet as I expected, could afford to be more caramelised, but the lime zest made it quite appetising.
The included mashed potato is a perfect complement. Above all, it is priced at an affordable price, $13.90! Saveur is no doubt one of our top choices to dine in âș

Mushroom tea served in a french press where the tea was then extracted before us, and poured into a sabayon of cep and lovage! The tea was light and refreshing, but nothing short of the rich and earthy tones of mushroom that finishes on a clean note. On the classy wooden plate is also the garlic brioche, which is very fragrant!
The bourbon-based drink is accompanied with a bowl of smoked jasmine leaves on the side. Take a whiff of the leaves then sip on the bourbon-apple bitters- cherry blossom drink. The flavours are complementary and sophisticated.
Organic hen's egg đ poached for 55 minutes, then smoked with rosemary, and lastly topped with spring pea and chorizo iberico. The presentation on its own is superb, served in an egg basket over dry ice. A definite winner đ.
Salted egg yolk molten lava cake. The savoury salted yolk lava cake, the sweet honey cereal, aromatic curry leaf.
Do try having the cake with curry leave. It balanced out the sweetness of the cake and added another dimension to this dessert. đ
What was a melody of flavours in my mouth was actually 2 half boiled eggs and an overwhelming yet satisfying amount of melted cheese atop a thin pizza crust. Satisfying much, and goes really well with the baby tomatoes, Parmesan sprinkled spinach, & sliced avocados. Totally value for money at $12.90.
They are only serving sliders and booze during their soft launch phase, but the full menu seems ridiculously sexy and appealing - think Sweet Fish Sauce Cock Wing (yes, these saucy nymphos), Tofu & Century Egg Salad, Coconut Tau Huay, XYT Ayam Percik, Spicy Otak-otak Aglio Olio, Pork Ribs Croissant and Ovaltine Trifles. Dead excited to try like, everything.
