Expect everything yammy @whiskingbakes - like the Taromisu (which was our favourite) or the prettiest Taro Mochi Swiss Roll.
You can enjoy their Orh Nee Tart Balls here as well 🍠
Probably the only more filling dish here at 51 Tras. Aburi Chee Cheong Fun, by @sgcheecheongfun and Singapore celebrity Ben Yeo.
Love the savoury sauce and umami chili sauce, paired with a perfect onsen egg and fried onion.
Check out my Brown Sugar Mochi ($35) Cheesecake from @feed.your.foodbaby!
With a layer of nice stretchy brown sugar mochi encase (swipe to the last video for that mochi pull!).
I recommend eating it fresh and at room temperature for the gooey melt-in-mouth texture 🤩
Hit @feed.your.foodbaby up for an order to bring for your cosy Christmas gathering with friends! They have new flavours like the Minty Dark Choc ($35), Matcha with mochi (!!) ($35) and Peanut Butter and Jelly ($30).
First time having the kuehs here, and the thing that really stands out would be the very QQ skins for soon kueh but also the peng kueh! I just wish there were more fillings then this would definitely be the best kuehs around!
Pretty decent coffee 👍🏻 medium bodies, though alittle too milky for me, maybe I’ll get the 4oz ($4) the next time I’m there.
A floury with strong coconut taste (but owner said, no coconut was added 🤔).
And I actually prefer the sardine one for a stronger flavour - the puff skin and fillings flavour doesn't merge very well together.
Best for a quick bite before transiting to somewhere else.
Newest to their pancake family, the eggwich ($3.50 each) come in either Ham & Cheese or Sausage, Mushroom and Cheese. Choose the latter and enjoyed a small comforting bite and a little egg porn too! Nothing to shout about but there's always that small nostalgic magic about Mr Bean's pancake 😝
But I do wish for more of that mentaiko mayo as till the end of this mess tin, were plain sweet potato fries without its saucy partner :(
Albeit more expensive than your usual Pasar Malam eggs, these are so well worth it! The aunties actually cracked the shells of the hard boiled eggs before soaking and simmering them in their herbal recipe 'soup'. Results of this are the super infused flavours that can be clearly seen from the inside of the egg! (Also, the scent of these babies could be smelled from afar!) I have been eating their eggs for the past 10 years of my life (from 70 cents to $1 now), the texture of the eggs have never been wrong or overcooked - bouncy soft egg white with creamy yolks! So good, I'm always tempted to get 2!
Coughing away but craving these addictive Honey Butter Chicks ($18) - inspired by the recent popular honey butter chips, these Chicken tenders and Toppikki are coated with honey butter glaze. The best part was definitely the rice cake, steamed and deep fried with the honey butter sauce - giving it a nice golden coating that has light crispy bite while the inside remained chewy and moist! Those spicy lover should adore the gochujang flavoured Dak Kang Jung ($18). These babies are best paired with their homemade Makgeolli on this Friday night!
