review:
mushroom pie - buttery crust with perfect blend of mushroom and onion, feels like a concentrated mushroom soup that is delicious 8.5/10
chicken and bacon pie - thick crust is solid, sweet and buttery. savoury taste of chicken, bacon and mushroom blends well with the sweetness of crust and onion. definitely not for those on diet! 8/10
matcha eclair - if you love matcha this will be delectable! not sweet and has a strong matcha taste 8.5/10
signature eclair - tastes a bit like bundung with lychee and raspberry, where the base has a salty aftertaste which brings out the sweetness of the filling 8/10
They've got a promotion going on their website itself so I didn't use beyond for this. Skip the Deluxe buffet and go straight for Premium. For 75 per person (inclusive of gst and all), I thought the meal was really worth it.
The meats were beautifully marbled and melted in your mouth. We couldn't help but get more orders of both the kurobuta karubi and wagyu karubi. Highly recommend getting their tonkotsu soup for your hotpot too, it's lovely and sweet.
Korio’s take sees nutty slices of really good whole-wheat sourdough, holding together some oozy cheddar, American cheese, and caramelised onions. They’ve got the stringy, melty cheese part down pat, I love their sourdough as well, and that’s basically the makings of a really great grilled cheese sandwich already. I do wish there was a little more oomph in the caramelised onions though: either an intense savouriness (think French onion soup), or a slight touch of acidity and sugar (balsamic caramelised onions maybe?). Would’ve added a lot more complexity to this!
This dish sees a lobster tail served atop risotto in a creamy mixture of cream fraiche, green sweet pea, parmesan cheese, smoked mullet bottarga & chopped chive. Besides this, Black Marble by Chef Otto Weibel also serves up other Western contemporary cuisine, with a specialty in grilled items in a casual setting.

Wasn’t a fan of kueh salat until now.
Clan Cafe is known, among many other things, for their kueh salat cake. I love the thick consistency of the pandan custard which is packed with flavour! It sits heavily atop the layer of glutinous rice, streaked with a beautiful blue butterfly pea extract. Pair it with a cup of hot tea, and you’d have the perfect afternoon teatime snack.
Tahiti vanilla mousse with Lemon curd and topped with marihime strawberry.
It’s bigger than usual tart, perfect for sharing, it’s not sweet and quite refreshing.

1 of 7 choices of mains on Spago’s Express Prix Fixe lunch menu, the quail was cooked spot on and served with a sweet and savoury medley of Swiss chard, pistachio gremolata, caramelized Comice pears and a meaty quail jus.
Taste: 3.5/5
Impress your date at this hip, unfussy joint on Club Street that's great for inventive cooking and natural wines (they carry small quantities of ~200 types). Start with their House-baked Sourdough ($6) and house-cured Charcuterie ($16). Then, have the Cedar Jelly and Foie Gras Toast ($16) for a melt-in-your-mouth moment you won't forget. The menu changes frequently, but the Beef Tongue Sammy ($26) and the Endive ($21) — a salad that is perfectly complemented by Kyoho grape and tete de moine cheese — are mainstays you must not miss. If available, end your meal with the Birch Syrup Tart.

Preorder restaurant ibid’s roast duck, which is only available 8-10 ducks per week as they are aged and stored over a week. The entire duck was first brought in front of us before it was sliced.
Pretty juicy meat with a glistening reddish brown roasted skin, the roast duck was served as a whole alongside some condiments and their house made steamed pancakes. Instead of the usual cucumber strips, Ibid served Celtuce, or celery lettuce. Similarly crunchy like cucumber, but mildly flavoured. Intrigued to hear and taste Celtuce for the first time.
While the duck sauce was provided as a pairing condiment, I felt that it could be richer in taste to match against the gamey duck meat. A separate plate of duck skin was served, with sugar dusted lightly. Unfortunately we were disappointed, as it was soft and a little soggy, unlike the crispy type that we were expecting.
Established itself to be one of Asia’s most exciting places to dine in, @burntends_sg is a modern Australian BBQ restaurant that offers a rather casual dining experience, with counter seats looking directly into the open-concept kitchen. No joke you have to reserve up to 3 months in advance, especially for the Saturday slots!

Peeled Russet potatoes are steamed, grated, and seasoned with corn flour and salt, then covered with foil and baked at 150 degrees for an hour. then cut into squares and fried it, topped with sour cream and fresh za'atar (wild thyme in Middle East). The texture of crispy hash brown at outside and Soft inside, mixed with chilled sour cream combine together in mouth, it’s really good 😋 💰$14.

Quaint neighborhood restaurant with wholesome dishes and delicious steak at an affordable price, which is not easy to find! Tried the onglet and deckle, medium rare, both cooked perfectly. The creamed kale was crunchy with just enough sauce. Staff were friendly. Overall great meal!
