𝙀𝙭𝙤𝙩𝙞𝙘 𝙏𝙧𝙞𝙛𝙡𝙚: Admittedly I chose this for the mad effects, but it wasn’t just a superficial dessert! Sour mango pops cut through the thicker mango compote, with a touch of lime sorbet to sweeten it up. The compote got slightly heavy towards the end, though it was really addictive whilst the toppings lasted.

𝙎𝙖𝙡𝙩𝙚𝙙 𝙋𝙚𝙖𝙣𝙪𝙩 𝙈𝙤𝙨𝙨𝙚: a grand combination of basic tastes— peanut, chocolate, and yuzu, yet this brought out the best in each taste without any clashes. The toffee ice cream was light and on the icier side: a good call considering the heavier mousse 🍫

𝙎𝙩𝙖𝙣𝙗𝙧𝙤𝙠𝙚 𝘽𝙡𝙖𝙘𝙠 𝘼𝙣𝙜𝙪𝙨 (~+$20) was too chewy and tough for my liking, proving to be a workout for my jaw. Skip this, it wasn’t worth the top up! The flavour wasn’t really there either 🥩

𝘽𝙖𝙗𝙮 𝘽𝙖𝙨𝙨 was my preferred main of the 2: being partly soaked in seafood bisque and partly having a crispy saltier exterior. I didn’t expect fish to ever be flavourful enough but I ready enjoyed this ☺️

𝘽𝙡𝙖𝙘𝙠𝙢𝙤𝙧𝙚 𝙒𝙖𝙜𝙮𝙪 𝙏𝙖𝙩𝙖𝙠𝙞 was drizzled with ponzu and truffle, and while the beef slices were thin, they were packed with enough flavour not to be overshadowed by the other elements of the dish. Mad props to the presentation too: it’s beautiful

The complimentary 𝙎𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙙𝙤𝙪𝙜𝙝 𝙗𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙙 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙢𝙪𝙨𝙝𝙧𝙤𝙤𝙢 is AMAZING. I usually avoid butter like the plague bc (don’t waste my calories) but the mushroom flavour was rich and the butter wasn’t too oily. Sourdough was fluffy, but the butter stole the show.

Lawry’s warm and fluffy bread was a great pairing for the tomato soup!

[Desserts] Let’s pretend this never existed, bc I don’t remember much about either the 𝙃𝙤𝙠𝙠𝙖𝙞𝙙𝙤 𝙎𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙬𝙗𝙚𝙧𝙧𝙮 𝙎𝙝𝙤𝙧𝙩𝙘𝙖𝙠𝙚 ( which tasted like a sponge cake I could’ve bought at Starbucks), Nor the 𝙎𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙬𝙗𝙚𝙧𝙧𝙮 𝙋𝙖𝙣𝙣𝙖 𝘾𝙤𝙩𝙩𝙖 🍰

I loved the Yorkshire pudding so much I had an extra piece too .
𝙎𝙥𝙞𝙣𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙗𝙤𝙬𝙡 𝙤𝙛 𝙎𝙖𝙡𝙖𝙙 pleasantly surprised me, as the chilly ingredients were crisp and well balanced with their vintage dressing 🥗

[Mains] The star for me was the 𝙎𝙞𝙜𝙣𝙖𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙚 𝙍𝙤𝙖𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙙 𝙋𝙧𝙞𝙢𝙚 𝙍𝙞𝙗 𝙤𝙛 𝘽𝙚𝙚𝙛, although it was a lighter cut at 160g, I was pretty filled by the sides of creamed spinach and mashed potato. Sure, the sides were definitely nothing to shout about, but the soft tender beef sOAKING in beef jus was what kept me going 🥩

[Starter] Wasn’t really a huge fan of the starters: Sure, the red wine sauce on the 𝙁𝙤𝙞𝙚 𝙂𝙧𝙖𝙨 was done well, but the Foie Gras had the texture of spongy tofu. 𝙇𝙤𝙗𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝘾𝙧𝙤𝙦𝙪𝙚𝙩𝙩𝙚 was underwhelming in taste, and overwhelming in batter. 🦞
