Terriyaki chicken rice bowl ($9.90) their terriyaki was juicy and pretty damn good. Onsen egg was also on-point and really added another dimension to the otherwise sweet terriyaki sauce. Portion wise it was a decent meal. It also came with a salad that is well pretty ordinary.
From the mini chirashi don ($6) which comprised of fresh ingredients to the crispy soft shell crab handroll ($3.80), almost everything was delicious.
For salmon lovers, i would recommend the salted egg salmon ($2.80) that was surprisingly good. Alongside, the grilled salmon ($2.30).
Another must get would be their kake udon ($4.20), which soup is honestly flavorful yet light on your palette. But maybe i am just a sucker for udons šš»āāļø. Their no-nonsense chawanmushi ($2.50) was also velvety and simply tasty.
At $1.90 for 1, i would skip on the salmon belly as it really did not differ much from the salmon sashimi. Sadly, the scallop sushi ($3.80) was a miss for me.
For a place that is famous for its chicken, it was their rice that make me want to go back for more. Especially the nasi lemak set at $7.90. The rice was so fragrant and coconut-y that you will find yourself reaching for more until thereās none left. Of course, their OMG chicken ($13.90) does not disappoint with the chicken really crispy and moist. Aside from that, their rice was slightly sweet and fragrant as well - taste wise reminded me of pineapple rice. However, their sides (corn bread and pasta salad) were disappointingly average. All in all, i would definitely be back for the nasi lemak and try the rest of their menu.
