Here’s where you can get an All-You-Can-Eat steamboat & bbq buffet at reasonable prices with no GST & service charge: Newly opened Buffet Paradise (walking distance from Tai Seng MRT station) offers free-flow of over 40 food items in their menu, as well as drinks and ice cream too!

Each table is served a welcome sampler platter consisting of seafood, marinated meats and vegetables, which can all be found in the display chiller as well. For the steamboat, there are two soup bases to choose from - Chicken Herbal soup & Tom Yum soup. We preferred the robust and flavourful tom yum soup over the chicken herbal soup, which we felt was a tad salty. The selection of food items here is fresh and pretty decent, while the quality of the meats (all marinated nicely!) and seafood (I like the sambal lala & Toman fish slices) is not bad too!

Additionally, you can also add on $15/pax for free-flow beer (Hoegaarden Wit-Blanche Original Beer and Beck's Pilsner) to go along with the food too!

Si Chuan Dou Hua Restaurant 四川豆花饭庄 at PARKROYAL on Beach Road has brought back the acclaimed annual culinary affair - ‘A Gastronomic Journey of Sichuan Flavours’. From now till 31 December 2021, tuck into 83 petite plates of authentic Sichuan cuisine from their a la carte buffet menu.

In the spotlight this year, alongside the a la carte buffet menu, the culinary team has curated an additional highlight - Baby Lobster in a limited edition sealed tin, with 4 different flavours to choose from, on a non-refillable basis!

We tried our best to order as much as we could, but there’s only so much 2 stomachs can eat 😂. Some of our favourite dishes are the Steamed Baby Lobster w/ Minced Garlic, Stir-fried Baby Lobster w/ Spring Onion & Ginger, Chilled Chicken w/ Spicy Bean Paste, “Chong Qing” Diced Chicken w/ Dried Chilli, Sliced Pork w/ Leek in Spicy Sauce and Braised Bean Curd in Sichuan Bean Paste. Don’t forget to end your meal with some desserts too like Chilled Peach Resin w/ Sago and Glutinous Rice Ball with Peanut Paste. The buffet also includes a complimentary glass of Sakura Sake for each guest.

Dinner is available daily, while lunch is only available on Sat-Sun and public holidays. Adults pay $68++ per pax; Children (6-12 years) pay $34++ per pax. Enjoy 20% off for selected credit card (UOB & DBS) holders. For reservations or enquiries, please call them at +65 3138 6711, email douhua.prsin@parkroyalhotels.com, or book via online reservations at www.panpacific.com/sichuandouhua-prsin.

Sometimes I think that if I were ever in Squid Game, the lack of food is what will get me, not the challenges! An egg and a cider is enough to make anyone wanna fight. Thankfully there’s no need to fight anyone for food at the All-You-Can-Eat Tteokbokki Buffet from 90 Minutes.

As their name suggests, the duration of the buffet is 90 minutes long, and prices start from as low as $14.90++/pax (adult) onwards, which is super affordable if you ask me!

Choose from a variety (5 choices) of Korean-style soup base combinations (my recommendation is “90mins the Best”), and then add on ingredients into the pot to cook! The ingredients include fishcake skewers (love this!), 5 different types of tteokbokki, meats, seafood (clams, prawns), vegetables and noodles! There’s also cooked dishes too, like Korean fried chicken, mandu (pork & vegetable dumpling) and kimmari (fried seaweed noodle rolls). I’d also recommend adding on the cheese ring for that extra oomph! Oh ya, once you are done with your first meal, don’t forget to ask the staff to prepare the fried rice for you (using the leftover broth) to complete your experience!

Michin Korean BBQ & Hotpot offers affordable ala-carte buffet-style Korean barbecue and hotpot with a wide variety of good quality meats, seafood, vegetables and soup bases to choose from! I’d highly recommend the Collagen soup, which is cooked with pork and chicken bones and boiled for half a day! Taste is really solid!

The highlight for me is probably the part when a shot of Kweichow Moutai is added to alight the hotplate / hotpot! I must say that this is definitely not a gimmick, as the liquor really does add more robustness and flavour to the ingredients! Do try their Korean Fried Chicken (available in both soy & spicy flavours) too, really addictive!

Don Dae Bak is a cosy Korean barbecue joint located at Kreta Ayer offering authentic and pocket-friendly Korean BBQ buffet. Enjoy high quality meats cooked over charcoal that are well seasoned and served in huge portions with free slow steamed eggs and side dishes.

Besides their barbecue, they also offer a wide range of Korean food. I recommend trying the nourishing ginseng chicken soup, the comforting Jajangmyeon, the tasty seafood pancake, and the crispy & flavourful Korean fried chicken (cream onion & soy garlic).

Come down for an authentic Korean food experience!

We were treated to authentic Balinese flavours with dishes like Ayam Panggang Bumbu Rojak (Tamarind Baked Chicken with Tangy Glaze), Babi Guling (Roasted Suckling Pig), Gulai Kambing Jakarta (Yellow Lamb Curry with Potato), Babi Goreng (Fried Pork) and Satays (at the live grill station) paired with an array of extensive sambal chillies. The desserts were delectable too with the made on the spot Dadar Gulung (choice of coconut or mango), macarons and the delicious Bubur Pulut Hitam.

Of course, their regular buffet line is also available, so you can get your hands on the very fresh seafood selections (such as oysters) and many more. Thanks @burpple for the invitation and @jwmarriottsg for hosting us.
