Hawker Food
Added on a begedil (+$0.50) to the Mee Rebus. Served piping hot; the noodles covered in thick flavorful gravy mixed with all the ingredients is so sedap! Will be back to eat this again š
šPondok Makan Indonesia (#01-123)
Simple and delicious Peranakan food at Pasir Ris Hawker Centre.
S$3.50 for this meal - Set E (Blue pea rice, sambal egg and nyonya chap chye).
What stands out here is the #sambal on the eggš„. Flavorful and not too spicy. Recommend to get the sambal egg šÆš Chap chye was good too; not too soft and comes with some crispy bits of beancurd skin. Rice was fluffy but didn't have any special flavor.
Would get this again if I'm in the area.

Got the $4.50 portion. Quite alot. Changed the noodles to kway teow. Wantons were tasty. Overall value for money š
Hidden gem in this hawker centre!
S$6 for the curry and S$2.40 for 2 Pratas. Really filling meal.
I like the Pratas which was super flaky, fluffy on the inside, and not too oily; texture similar to puff pastry.
The pot of chicken curry comes with boneless chicken thigh, potatoes chunks and one whole egg. Flavorful and not too spicy. The friendly owner says there's no MSG added, which is great.
The stall is located right at a corner, so it's easy to miss.

Kolo Mee (S$5.50) which i think is tossed in lard and shallot oil. Love the texture of the springy noodles šÆ; not too soft and has a nice bite! The tender and tasty minced meat and char siew goes well with the noodles.
Ordered their Signature Laksa Bee Hoon (S$6.30). Comes with 3 prawns, bean sprouts, shredded egg omelette, shredded chicken and coriander. Broth is full of flavour, smooth, slightly creamy and not too spicy.
Not sure how this compares to the authentic ones in Sarawak, but the food is delicious.
Preserved Veg Hor Fun (S$6) in Chinatown.
First time trying chye poh hor fun and it's surprisingly yummy!
Freshly fried upon order. It's hor fun with eggs, lots of chopped chye poh , a few prawns and pork lard. Definitely full of wok hei and the charred parts at the bottom is delicious.
Decent portion and ingredients; but the taste of the chye poh wasn't as strong as I had expected.
Would eat this again š

Ordered the S$13 portion which the stall uncle recommended, good for 2pax.
Comes with tender juicy chicken chunks, chinese sausage, salted fish and veges. Pour the oil and dark soy sauce provided and mix it all up.
I like the rice texture; not too soft or hard. Best part is the crispy rice at the bottom. Overall, will eat this again š
Ordered 10pcs pork satay and 1 rice ketupat. ($0.80 each)
š„Nicely grilled, tender & flavorful chunky pork with some char on the outside. Cooked-to-order and goes really well with their delicious peanut pineapple dipping sauce. Served with some cucumber and onions on the side.
This stall is located in the more quiet area (Green Zone) of the hawker centre.
A Michelin guide recommended stall.
Lots of dishes available; decided to try Lontong as I saw others eating it and it looked delicious. The Begedil is an add on (forgot the price).
Coconuty gravy was piping hot and not overly lemak, which makes it easy to drink it all up. Comes with rice cakes, whole egg, veges, topped with chilli and grated coconut.
Will come back to try other dishes š
Ordered for 2pax, with 2 bowls of kway and kiam chye (total S$10). Mix of braised pork belly, intestines, pig skin, tau kwa, tau pok and egg. Average taste, but better with chilli sauce.
Ordered Seafood Hor Fun (S$5) for lunch. Portion is good and taste is not bad; there's sliced fish, prawns, clam, minced meat. šš¦
A popular stall with the elderly where I saw many of them ordered fish soup. The stall owner is helpful to the elderly by helping to bring the food to their tables too.
I like their seafood soup which i have tried before, its tasty, not too salty & value for money š
