Australia Trip
Ending my Sydney trip with a much of our local inspired meal. Well I have been eating Mee Goreng for so long and this is the first time I eat it with a toast.
They stuffed the whole Mee Goreng within the toast together with fried egg inside. I could say it is pretty much a full meal to me.
So next time if you are around this area looking for some interesting meal during weekdays, you could try on this.
Many people first time coming could have hard time finding this place due to the construction around the area when I’m here. It is located at the bottom of the staircase beside 200 George Street.
This is a good place to get some coffee and enjoying the cold weather here. Few seats available.
Sydney’s Chinatown area is truly influenced by the Asian cuisine with lots of Asian restaurants around here.
Yasaka Ramen is one of the ramen joint here selling authentic ramen along Liverpool Street.
I decided to try this special menu, which use the dan dan noodle instead of the usual ramen noodle. It comes with the usual ramen ingredients such as egg and char siew.
The one thing I don’t like about this place would be the sticky of the chair and table, it was so oily that you don’t feel like putting stuff and even your hand on the table.
After a good lunch, why not have some dessert after the meal? I was attracted by the photo of this so decided to give it a try.
It come with Belgian choc chip waffle, fresh berries, strawberry sauce, fairy floss & vanilla ice cream. The dessert really make my day with all the delicious and sweet ingredients. AUD14
Rashays is an Australian restaurant chain available everywhere in the country. If you are looking for some authentic local fast food, this would be the place to go.
They offer affordable lunch menu including this chargrilled chicken breast topped with their signature creamy mushroom sauce and chips, for only AUD13. It was tender and juicy, the meat was much softer than our usual chicken meat here.
Continue my search for home taste in Sydney with this restaurant. As compared to Mamak, this place sell more choices of Malaysian cuisine.
I have to say this has broke my record of the most expensive prawn noodle I ever have. For AUD25 per bowl, it is really comes in a very big portion of bowl. The soup was tasty and definitely got the home taste. It also included lots of ingredients inside.
Just next to the Circular Quay Station you can find this ice cream shop which was very popular among the locals and tourists. They have lots of exciting flavours for their gelato and sorbet. Look out for their weekly special on the board also.
If you always looking for some smaller size of pizza that can either consume by one person or order a few different flavours for a group of people. Tonda could be the best place to go for the pizza.
Baked crunchy with large size of potato, meatballs and cheese on top. You could easily finish it or take away. I hear they are going to open one in Singapore soon, let’s look forward to their opening here soon. AUD6
This shop probably the best place for your Instagram post and story. Filled with lots of beautiful flowers, but most people came here for their flower inspired drinks.
Honey, I’m Home is one of their exotic and highly Instagrammable butterfly pea flower tea with refreshing hints of lemon and mint, topped with sweet aloe twist. You can request it for a soda option instead. AUD6.50 (Regular)
If you are looking for some neighbourhood cafe without the city crowd, head over to Alexandria for this pretty new cafe here.
They have a very beautiful interior here separates with the coffee bar and kitchen. Ordered their lunch bowl which comes in generous portion of items on it; including roast sweet potato, steamed green, avocado, roast broccoli, toasted seeds, grain salad and LSA pesto. Add additional money to complete your lunch bowl with meat. I got the poached chicken which was really soft and juicy. AUD20
Much like a cream puff to me but with crispy skin outside and of course the cute decoration on it. Every animal designs represent different flavours inside, you can look at board to see their flavours.
I decided to visit their store in Rosebery which consider a bit further from city centre. But the trip is totally worth it because they are just too good to consume, if you don’t look at the price tag. AUD8.20
When you start to miss home food, no worry there’s few Malaysian restaurants around here in Chinatown, Sydney.
I believe most of Asian would hear of this restaurant that sell Malaysian cuisine. It was long queue when I arrive so decided to take away instead.
For AUD15, it is probably very expensive but trust me. It really has the home taste and the portion was generous.
